Why can't I opt out of this madness? I've already lost track of my games thanks to your bad search engine and the missing mails after redeeming a gift.
Already stated before that I was in favor of the unbundling, and now that I've seen the initial effects of the work in progress . . . I am still in favor of it! Hopefully revealing this won't get me burned at the stake as a heretic and enemy of the people.

Sure it's not at 100% awesomeness just yet (the Blackwell games are out of order), and there are a few further changes I'd like to see made (could the "VGA" signifier on the VGA versions of the Leisure Suit Larry games be any smaller?), but now I can see all (well, almost all at the moment) of mah games separated and compartmentalized just as my obsessive-compulsiveness has always desired (read: required)! And really, what few problems I've got with it will probably either be fixed by GOG, or I can fix myself with manual sorting and the like.

I mean hell, Softporn Adventure has its own individual spot on my shelf now. That alone is worth it!

You aren't married, are you?

I now have to remember to never let my wife see the part of my GOG library between Sim City and Space Quest...

If I had ever asked my ex-wife to play SPA, she'd probably would've just shaken her head, rolled her eyes, and walked away without saying anything.

If I ever ask my girlfriend to play SPA, she'll probably tell me to read it out loud to her while we sit together at the computer.

I think my situation has greatly improved on the lady and gaming fronts both since I'm no longer married! :D

Ciris: Hi, guys!

Following your many requests and in connection with preparing game libraries better for GOG Galaxy, we’re going to be starting what we’re calling unbundling games.

This means that multiple games that are bundled as one “product” (for instance: Tomb Raider 1+2+3) will no longer appear as one title on your game shelf, but rather - be split into individual items. This means more convenient downloads, smaller downloads if you just want to get one game, better representation of the games on your shelf, and being able to toggle installing and auto-updating titles from such a bundle in GOG Galaxy individually (should you decide use the client in the future once it's released).

Such bundles won't be unbundled in the store, so no price changes will happen - it's just a different way to display them on your shelf, which will make things easier for you and future software.
Sounds like quite an effort for something unnecessary...
Please keep that optional!

How about repairing the borken update notification system? It never worked perfectly, but since the unnecessary design cahnge last spring it si definitely a nuisance!

Greetings from Austria,
Franz
I now have 2 x Ultima Underworld I on my shelf. One with an Ultima Underworld I icon and the the other with a Ultima Underworld II icon.

Wow this unbundling is a mess!

I've noticed that there's no original EGA version of "Quest for Glory". I only have "Quest for Glory (VGA Remake)" in my library. The EGA version isn't listed as a bonus either.
If you download the setup it is named setup_quest_for_glory_vga_2.1.0.33.exe
Only VGA, no EGA in the filename...
The setup wants to install to \GOG\Quest for Glory (VGA) directory and creates a Quest for Glory (VGA) entry in the start menu. No link to the original EGA version to be found anywhere.

But then, when you launch the game, you finally get a DOS prompt to select between EGA and VGA version.

GOG, what the...?!?! Could you make this any more obscure?
Please make this optional.
How about leaving the bundles as they appear on the shelf
but break them apart in their drop-down menus
so the user can pick what all they want to download without the added clutter.

Speaking of bundles
it might be neat to allow users to create their own
to reduce existing clutter and add a personal touch to how their games are organized.

So now you have to install the VGA version (which I don't like personally) in order to install the EGA version unlike before when you could just install the EGA alone? Baffling.
The tin foil hat version of me feels this is more and more like another effort to make the usual way of handling things worse and worse so that when Galaxy arrives people will actually want to use it to have anything done right.

I still can't access to my games. Always a 404 error page with a black hole and a sad Theodore ! Am I the only one ? I wrote a ticket to the support, waiting for an answer.
