Oh, there's better reasons to call me a fool then that :D But I don't mock your precious Lone Wolf, nor anime and manga in general. I just can't stand them, there's a difference. I'm not saying they're all objectivly bad. I just hate them, like I hate the taste of spinach. It's a matter of taste, not something rational. Some people just can't get into comics. Oh well, if you like slice of life-series, you could try to find [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yokohama_Kaidashi_Kikō]Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō[/url] (ヨコハマ買い出し紀行) manga preferably because 2*2 OVAs just can't tell 14 volumes of stories.

Anime is cool. Especially stuff based on Type-Moon works like Unlimited Blade Works (the recent series not the shitty movie) and Kara no Kyoukai. Also the "monogatari" series (Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari) is also great. That said the majority of anime (as with the majority of anything) is samey low-budget crap.

If you like manga, read everything by Tsutomu Nihei, he is the master of Japanese cyberpunk. Amazing artist.

I like anime too, but this media is heavily plagued by excessive fanservice, fillers, open endings and clichès. :\

Open endings are primarily due to the fact that most anime are adapted from manga or light novels which is in most cases haven't ended yet, so they can't "end" the an anime series without completely going against the source material.

As for fanservice, how can you not like stuff like "guy accidentally falls and lands grabbing girls' boobs", classic.
