And I don't care. They may be mindless but they're fun.
Being a COD fan these days is not easy. People say that you're an idiot,the reason that the industry suck right now,retard that don't like to think and other mean things for being a fan of the series.
Dynasty Warrior being called a "brainless button masher" or Titanfall an overhyped dead game.
These games help me unwind after a stressful day or when I want to just relax when I'm bored and some quick matches before doing something else.
I love the pick up and play nature of them and the fact that I can feel like a total badass doing so but I also love "thinking man" games like Metal Gear Solid or Civilization,hell,MGS3 is my favourite game of all time and it's the one that requires more strategy and a lot of carefull approaches.

Good for you. I'll personally stay away of online shooters like those.

And I'll say you're an idiot if you buy the same game every year, yes.

Yes I buy COD every year.
Ghosts is the worst of the series. Stay away from it.

Try to play Dynasty Warriors. You'll feel like a total badass every stage and the so bad it's good VA helps it.

Wasn't that for console? I don't do console. Other than that, I wouldn't mind trying it. It's multiplayer stuff that I stay away from.

Yeah I suppose certain games like CoD and HALO carry a certain stigma with them, but who cares as long as you enjoy them. If the singleplayer campaigns are any good I'd probably enjoy them too, sometimes I just feel like playing a good FPS.
But why create this topic?

Titanfall was beautifully good game with stunning graphics. It truly is a next gen game.

The titan gameplay was very enjoyable and intense. While playing on foot and not in titan, yes it is a lot like COD but thankfully there were no glitches or bugs.

COD has some good storylines but those games are good for buying during the steam sales.

Advanced Warfare story was good and worth the price.

On sale these games are worth it.

Titanfall 2 has been announced and black ops 3 trailer is out.

I don't mind using steam all that much, but I'm hardly using it these days due to a general lack of interest. I'll keep an eye open for a good sale on DW8, but I'm not dropping much money just to try out the 8th entry on a series I know basically nothing about.

Having fun is OK, we each have fun with different things. I don't enjoy diablo style loot whoring or MMO gameplay one bit, but others find it incredibly fun and addicting. To each their own, it's nice to have variety. I don't see any point to buying the same game over and over again, though. Even though I've bought about 50 copies of Deus Ex.

You don't need to play every single of them in order.
It's mostly about mowing waves of mooks with ultra large weapons and feeling like a total badass super soldier.
