Unless there's a technical difficulty (game won't work on Windows 10 for example) and troubleshooting doesn't work, or you haven't downloaded the game yet, i don't think this qualifies...

Example: I want a refund on Raving Rabbids because it sucks....

No dice...

Pheace: It's an actual upside of DRM ^^
Yes, it is. But I still prefer no DRM freedom over this.

tinyE: Elmo has been here a looooong time, everyone likes him, and he obviously isn't a scammer.

GOG should make an exception here.

I mean polish as in polishing, like polishing a gold trophy.

tfishell: Sorry, only preorders, in-dev games, and technical issues (a game not running on your system) are covered by refunds.

i_hope_you_rot: Not exactly .

In my case : Stardew Valley ( bought 2016-12-28 , refund received in GOG Wallet funds 2017. 06. 16 )

Quoting from my Gog support ticket .

Usually we cannot do this after such a long time, but since you are a loyal customer, we have made an exception for you and converted the purchase into GOG Wallet funds. Have a great day!

i_hope_you_rot: Bought the game for my godson ( he overhyped the game after looking let's play videos ) . Installed , he only played for a few hours and found it boring .
As quoted... an exception...
They don't HAVE TO give a refund
Well I'm sorry you feel that way. I thoroughly enjoy the game. It being cheaper than most of the major Total War games is a plus. I love how your armies are tied to powerful characters from the Arthurian legend who gain levels by questing and battles.

Thank you.

Makes me wonder if they have to eat the cost of that key.

Elmofongo: I just bought this today and I know demanding now sounds kinda a petty but I expected this game to be of the same quality as Total War.
It's much better than any Total War game I played (Medieval, Rome, Medieval 2).

And from what I heard about Empire and Rome 2, Total War series has long since stopped being any sort of paragon of quality.

Medieval 2 was considered the paragon of Total War greatness?

So what makes this game better mechanically?

"Mechanically"? I don't know. I love the story based quests and events and the overall mood of the game. I like the unique but simple kingdm management, and the victory locations on battlefields. Of course the fact I love arthurian legends means I'm not entirely objective. I just loved immersing myself in that world.

I like Total War, and in some ways it might be more polished, but it gets very monotonous for me after a while. It literally took me years of starting, getting bored and starting again to finish Rome. King Arthur always felt fresh to me, I was never bored for a second. It also helped that it's a much harder game than Total War.

I played MTW2 just for princesses. In my defense, it's awesome feature for teenage gamer girls.

I'm playing CK2 and picked the boy king of France and wanted marry some distant cousin in the hre but can't even run my own damn country.

Huh?
It kinda sucks, but since GOG is DRM-free if they applied the same rules as Steam everybody could buy a game, download it, keep it and ask a refund.
The current lack of refund option "for any reason" is a necessary evil, alas.

It kind of sucks because the whole damn first chapter of the game is basically the tutorial level, but it still gives you sense of how to manage your knights and fight battles or which morality path you want to go down(old faith righteous for me) but not enough to get to the cooler aspects of the game like the war between the Seelie and Unseelie.

Elmofongo: The money back guarantee states I have to contact the Support Team for issues a game might have.
"for issues a game might have."

You not liking the game being otherwise disappointed with it isn't an issue with the game. That guarantee is for technical problems and even then only if support are unable to get the game running.
avatar
Elmofongo: But I remember this site proclaiming you can get a refund for any reason at all?
Uhh... nope? I think you're thinking of Steam? Or perhaps In Dev games.
