I think Oblivion will come too, because my physical copy of it does not need steam. There will be not much extra work to divorce from steam workshop and the like.

I think everything will eventually come. Yes even Steam-only games like Dishonored, New Vegas and Skyrim. After all, we did get Darksiders 1+2, Metro 2033+Last Light and Saints Row 2+3, which were previously Steam-only games.

Gnostic: I don't know if it had changed or not, but a long long time ago, Oblivion is DRM free on the standard version, but the GOTY version has Securom, and I donno what DRM the steam version has.

Trilarion: Yes, they deserver applause. Although it is also evident that the newer(<5-10 years old) AAA titles are still not on GOG and may never come.
Djaron: so what about the thk bunch recently (saint rows, darksiders, fears, metro.) ? 10 year old ?
(also the PoP after the trilogy, and some others.)

Genuine question: is it somehow very hard or even unachievable to make a standalone version from a Steamworks game? At least to the level that it doesn't need a Steam client to run? For instance, is there a pirate version of Skyrim (Legendary Edition) that doesn't need the Steam client in order to run? If pirates were able to do it, then I'd be very surprised if Bethesda themselves, or GOG (with the help of Bethesda) couldn't do it.
Not to mention that it seems in the very beginning Skyrim was actually DRM-free by mistake (ie. it could be run without the Steam client), but that was "fixed" with an update. Wasn't it a Steamworks game back then yet because it could run as a standalone program?

A Steamworks game can be coded so that it works regardless of the client. If the client is found, additional functionality may be available (cloud saves, workshop etc), but it is possible to have the game running without the client.
