There was a time I was visiting the local retail store and found they had one of those "five dollar" bins full of games on CD. Aside from the 20+ games of chess, 1000+ free games discs, etc, I ran across a couple of gems that would be interesting to see appear here on GOG:

"Laura Bow: The Dagger of Amon Ra"; and
"Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist"

Both were decent adventure games, I guess they just never got enough publicity. If I remember correctly, they were both Sierra games and it would be nice to see them both resurrected.

Anyone else find any treasures in the discount bin?

Cheers!

To think that controller clogged up our legal system, I'll take a pass this time.

Look at the "Legal Issues" section on Wikpedia.
I used to browse discount bins a lot back in the day but I haven't found anything there that is particularly awesome in retrospect. Frontline Attack, Deus Ex: Invisible War, Knight Shift, Stranglehold, Turok (the "new" one from 2008 or something)... although, wait, in Poland I found the PC version of Blood Omen in a discount bin. Now THAT was an epic find. I haven't seen the PC version before or after and there was also only one unit in the discount bin where I found it. And I paid only ~2,50€ for it.

Wow, I love to hear about epic finds!
Went to check an old curiocity shop earlier and found a working gameboy advance sp with its charger. But the place (and the handheld itself) was really filthy so I left without buying anything. Pity.
That's where my parents found me.

I believe he was talking about treasures.

I once found a pristine boxed copy of System Shock 2 in a bargain bin for 2.5 EUR.
Hexplore! Gotta get some classic voxel titles here besides Outcast.
