The game in question is pc game. it was like a vehicle driving simulation fightinjg game with both ground, and air vehicles. The player engaged in combat not alone, but often in teams of other vehicles. During a single mission the player could sit into a different vehicle in its team, or race by looking at the other vehicle and press T.

Some if not all the missions were played near to surfaces of planets, or planet. One of the planets i could play on was toroid because i could fly in one direction, and wrap around the other. It was basically simulating sphere planets with this wrapping.

There were two races (at least). I do not remember what is its name, but i can refer to it as red, and green (probably blue) of which i guess that the red was humans, and the green was aliens maybe. In the game there were portraits visible sometimes of the races just like in starcraft 1, and the aliens looked like protoss.

There were green, and red reticles for ships in the distance somewhat like in the x series, but the reticle looked different. For example it showed the ship's hull points with a green gauge, and maybe it turned red when it was low.

The player could fly, and drive the vehicles of its race. Extra vehicular activity was impossible.

The vehicles of both races were different race by race, but countering one another. For example there was vehicles that could fly to both races, and there was tanks for both races. There were normal tanks, and hover tanks. There were possibly numerous vehicles for ground, and flight for both races.

I remember that the player could press the function buttons to switch camera, and i also remember that it was very like the system in gta vice city. For example pressing maybe f6 or so would put the camera in cinematic view.

There were structures on the planet. I remember two monumentlike buildings. One looked like a giant gyroscope, the other that was not very far looked like fingers, or spikes sticking out of the ground. I also remember some other buildings together that looked like cities, maybe factories. Some of such buildings were destroyable when shot enough.
I was looking at screenshots from Infestation just minutes ago... is that it? Or is it similar at least?
Thank you for a lot of info.
Maybe Terratech? or some different graphics?

cosevecchie: I was looking at screenshots from Infestation just minutes ago... is that it? Or is it similar at least?
No unfortunately i can see in the pictures that the visuals of Infestation is very bright, and colorfull. The game i am looking for is dark.

And it has got very simple main menu. Imagine the starsector font, and look, but darker, and i believe that the meain menu was completely black other than the buttons which were located in the middle.

There was like a few buttons to select for example game modes.

Also on loading i think it was also very similar to star sector because it was blue stripes the same. I mean the loading gauge was similar, or the same.

Terratech is very new for that. Vehicles were impossible to be built. I am not sure when the game came out. I played the demo of it from a cd that was full of other games' demos.

Sin 1998? Or DeathDrome?
It is most definitely not sin 1998 because the game i am looking for is focused on vehicle combat. There was first person element in it, but you could see the inside of the cockpit in that case

Although there are vehicles in death drome, but its visuals are still bright, and colorful unlike the game i am looking for. Not only that, but DeathDrome's graphic seems older, and gameplay does not check out.

The game play of the game i am looking for is very similar to aquanox 1's, but as i said it played in space, i could switch vehicles, and there were vehicles that could not fly, and the map was wrapping around simulating a planet.

Aquanox 1 looked very similar too.

Vigilante 8 is about cars, and the visuals are way too colorful in vigilante 8

Twisted metal is unfortunately about cars too, but the visuals of it is way more closer.
I hope you will find it! ^ thanks

Thank you too, have a nice day!
Maybe Recoil?
yea, i know this one, I think there were 2 games. Russian in nature maybe? .... lemme pound on this
Sounds like the A.I.M. games to me:

cosevecchie: Maybe Recoil?
i can see actual tanks in Recoil, and i assume that it features only human tanks, not futuristic alien tanks beside human tanks. Recoil is also way too colorful.

The gameplay of the game i am looking for is similar to aquanox 1's
The game i am looking for is not a racing game. although the Aim racing looks rather intriguing. It reminds me starwars episode 1 pod racer. I liked that game a bunch.

The aim games are still too colorful compared to the one i am looking for.

I have been trying to find it for a good while, and most of my hits are american, or brittish space games, so the game i am looking for is likely not amrican, neither brittish.

Although i clearly remember the game's main menu containing such mode as "Skirmish". I also remember that the time i was playing it i did not speak english, but i knew the game's language was english.

Giving long shots here:

Descent Maximum
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izv26P8J5s0

Descent 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ed_78HTkRbQ

Just learned about those games last night watching GDQ speedruns, so if they're what you're looking for I will be really impressed by this coincidence. haha

======= EDIT 1 =======

The whole series is on GOG:

Descent
https://www.gog.com/en/game/descent

Descent 2
https://www.gog.com/en/game/descent_2

Descent 3
https://www.gog.com/en/game/descent_3_expansion

And there's an open source port of the first two games with many QOL features and modernizations:

DXX Rebirth
https://www.dxx-rebirth.com/

Plus the game that is considered Descent's spiritual sucessor is also on GOG:

Overload
https://www.gog.com/en/game/overload

======= EDIT 2 =======

By looking at the third game images, it looks a lot like what you talked about:

Descent 3
https://www.gog.com/en/game/descent_3_expansion

======= EDIT 3 =======

Apparently an open source port of Descent 3 has also been released last year:

https://www.resetera.com/threads/descent-3-community-source-port-has-initial-release-descent-3-now-runs-on-64-bit-linux-windows-and-macos-32-bit-support-completely-dropped.971196/

Really interesting piece of history and how gaming community work endelessly to restore and preserve their loved games.
Just wish big companies would respect this strong community will more and focus on helping gaming preservation instead of doing all they can to sue whoever try to preserve the games for pure love.

(Not talking about Descent devs/publishers here. I've just learned about this awesome game and community.
This little research just made me meditate on how many companies and lobbyists nowadays are working together to destroy gaming preservation.)

This forum is usually quite helpful when it comes to strolling through the paths of memory, there's of course also the 'usual suspects' that actually can help with determining what this game was not!

That said, i'm also ready to make my try :-)

I was thinking of Parkan

As it turns out there are three games.

Exempt of the Parkan Wiki

Parkan is a series of video games that combine space flight and trade simulation with first-person shooter style game play. Namely it allows players to board ships. "Parkan" is the name of the spaceship, which means boomerang for its shape.

Parkan: The Imperial Chronicles (Russian: Паркан: Хроника Империи) - the first game of the series space simulator and first-person shooter
Parkan: Iron Strategy (Russian: Паркан: Железная Стратегия) - a spin-off first-person shooter and real-time strategy and mecha
Parkan II (Russian: Паркан II) - the newest game space simulator and first-person shooter

I only played Iron Strategy myself. I know i purchased the game at one of the electronica shops in my neighbourhood. Probably as either a recommendation from PC Gamer or just a catchy cover

GoG actually also offers all three titles, all with a nice discount atm

Well i do hope this is a bit of help there weren't to many games available at that time that come close to what you are describing. if this ain't it at least you can scratch another one of your list
