Djaron: I dunno if the keypage with the steam keys/giting links would still be valid if i were to cancel my Humble Monthly subscription... In doubt I quickly have to get rid of duplicate and unwanted games (means: everything mostly) before it renew the infamous leech on my wallet
I can guarantee you that it will be valid. I canceled mine and reapplied, as i was not comfortable with paying with credit card as long as they made Paypal available. All games were in library. They even assured everyone that they will keep the games even if they cancel the subscription.

It would be a good idea for everyone to wait paying the subscription until last few days. At last bundle, the games were "accidentally" shown to some people and they got to post on Reddit. This might repeat next time.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/3qg7fq/humble_bundle_monthly_they_accidentally_showed_me/

To be honest, i think that the whole thing was planted in order to sell more subscriptions in last days. It seems too "scripted". He also say the "big games" in the bundle, not the other "meh" ones.

Djaron: Just what the hell were they thinking. What kind of gamer/customer this offer is supposed to target, honnestly ? I dont see the logic. And the claim of "previously never released in bundle" is a dodgy feature so far.
Well, they missed me, so i can say that they are targeting me. I'm getting close of 1000 Steam games (982 right now) and i was not owning not one title from that Bundle. The reason being that i don't really care about new games. I was always getting quantity over "quality". I prefer getting 10 older games from witch i don't know, i might enjoy 3, love 1 and hate 6, than getting one new title that i might like or hate.
Not to say that i'm not in my best days regarding my computer specs, so, unless it's a real bargain, i'm not getting any new game that might work at a bad frame rate on my PC.

So, from this point of view, i must say that i'm not totally dissapointed by this Monthly thing, that's why i already payed for next month. But, for people like you and like most sane people that don't have 1000 shitty Steam games, but 300 good ones, i think they picked a bad format. They should have had more games and make you choose the 6 that you want to unlock to avoid getting money from people that already own all the games.

Since there's no activity here, I presume GOGers lost interest after the first bundle?

First/Nov bundle was great and a mix of genres. Then I was a little concerned over the MMO'ish slant of December's bundle, but I am happy to see that January's is mostly single player stuff I wanted to try anyway.

I'm going to stick it out for maybe a year and see where it goes. Anyone else on this journey with me?

February 2016
Alien Isolation
etc.

January 2016
The Talos Principle
The Masterplan
Mushroom 11
Grim Fandango Remastered
Spelunky
A Fistful of Gun

December 2015
Payday 2 + DLC
Banished
Rust
Chroma Squad
Neon Struct
Company of Heroes 2
Shadwen (Demo)

November 2015
Legend of Grimrock 2
Saints Row IV
Besiege
Valkryia Chronicles
Lethal League
Sanctuary RPG
Towerfall Ascension

I'm quite pleased with it so far. The games I already have are interesting enough to gift to friends anyway. The ones I don't have I usually like or were on my wishlist already. All three bundles so far have satisfied me so yeah, I'm going to stick with it.

Though it was a cheapskate move not to give the full version (all DLCs) of Saints Row IV but just the regular version. Both versions get regular 80-90% off discounts. It was a cheap marketing ploy to make some more money out of the people who want the DLCs.

Same here. Satisfied with the bundles so far. Definitely sticking around for Alien Isolation as I know someone who would love it. I probably would spend my entire game life hiding in a locker. :P
Like i said on the other thread, i feel like the better titles are being saved for the HMB and truth be told, it's a good deal considering the quality of the games on the bundles but for people like me, that only want one title or two from each list it's just not worth.

At least it's cool when they have some incentive for the preorder, Alien Isolation for $12 is a good deal, it's basically the same price that is currently on Steam and you get 6~7 extra games with it.
Alien Isolation is worthless to me (no Linux release) but would make a nice gift, so I don't mind it.

EDIT: Actually, now it seems it's available for Linux.
EDIT of the EDIT: And it doesn't support AMD, so it's still worthless to me. :D

Haven't bought a single Monthly and I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever.
I'll follow it... but given the lottery of it all I'm unconvinced as to whether or not I'd take the plunge - if I had signed up from the first bundle there would have been less than 5 games that I hadn't already owned

Thanks for mentioning this, it looks like a great 3D stealth game.
I might get this one for Isolation, though it will lack the DLC which I hate in my games. And then i'll cancel the sub.
I thought it was a bad idea when I first saw it come out, and I still think it is. Offering up games that have already been in previous bundles or have been just downright given away for free? And on top of that, I don't even get a HINT at what's coming up next?
Forget it. I'd rather they just ditch this whole mystery thing and work on improving (or at least maintaining the quality of) their regular bundles.
They offer a 10% store discount to subscribers now. Still not interested.
Subscribed for the coming months bundle and sold the early Ark Survival Evolved key for the same amount the bundle cost me... I almost feel bad for doing it but hey, free games :D

would be nice if they gave some hint at least of the genres included
example multiplayer games are useless to me, so are puzzle games. if i could opt out of these, the offer would be a bit more attractive.

it would be nice if they let us know which market places we are signing on to given some of them i have no interest in.
it also doesn't help that every game they have given out so far, i already own or otherwise do not need for now
Since I subscribed yesterday (yeah, just in time), I guess I'll have to put some updates in this thread :o)

Very satisfied overall. I was on the fence for buying Renowned Explorers on GOG so now I can try it and If I like I will double-dip. Also, I discovered Stikbold this morning (through PewDiePie and Marzia) and thought it looked fun so it's a good surprise to see it here.

And Mad Max as a "pre-order" for next month is ilke OMG! :o)
