I don't have any interesting tales though. I brought some food to work and was told it was good, I gave some videogames to people, I let an elderly dude see an art exhibition for free and secretly paid for his ticket, I carried an elderly lady's grocery bag up the hill and maybe some other stuff. I have no idea what impact that had on anyone's life. I myself don't usually get stuff for free (except for a videogame from time to time) so I don't know about that either :D

I was about 14 and my brother's apartment complex had a community party thing. There was a cake lottery set up like musical chairs; stand on the number and they call out whatever one was picked. My sister in law got a cake, my mom got a cake and near the end I was surprised they called my number, so I got a cake too.
While everything was wrapping up one of the little kids started crying because he didn't understand why he didn't get a cake. I think it was about then I decided having starchy sweet frosting wasn't really as nice as making that little kid's day, so I just walked up to him and handed him mine without a word. He was really excited and showed his mom then came back to thank me, but I just gave him a hug instead. I like cream cheese frosting better anyway.

There was a day when I was a kid that I went to school without having my daily lunch and one of my teachers gave her food for me to eat. I never forgot it and I will be forever grateful for what she did for me. It helped me to understand how important is to share our food with others.

So I recently dug out my old CDs of old schoon Rap music and gifted them to my nephew. It made him really happy. These kids only know the modern stuff, so this was fascinating to see. Made me really happy too, to see him appreciate it.

When I was 18 I got into a motorcycle accident. My bike was clipped by the other driver and they took off left me on the ground. I'm very grateful to the Good Samaritan who helped me, and took me to the nearest clinic.

I never know who's the Good Samaritan so I could never pay it back, but ever since I started doing more good deeds to others knowing that I pay it forward :)

I have kind of a silly story when i've been trying to hit 100 non-stop jumps in a gym with a jumping-rope, but the one i had was really hard to get used to. The man who saw me struggling with it gave me a try with his speed jumping-rope and it was a real relief. I gave a huge thanks to him, have understood that some problems are not your fault and maybe you need to find solution from the outside. Now I give some hints and tips myself to the newcomers as it makes their lives easier and me happier. :)

I've been blessed with the generosity of many people over the years, from travel stays at people's houses, to car rides before I could afford a car, but I think the most influential show of generosity was when my Uncle gave my sister and I a Nintendo 64 and 2 games for Christmas. That gift alone turned me into a gamer. A more recent example of showing generosity instead of receiving it was when I made my sister her favorite chicken and rice dish while she was visiting me for Thanksgiving and I sent it home with her when she returned to college. It was a simple gift but homecooked food means a lot to her at that stage in life!
