I've noticed a peculiar thing happen on the forums. It started around the time of the contests for boys and girls. A bunch of people found out who was a boy and who was a girl. And then, all of a sudden, *hugs* emotes started popping up.

I myself find them annoying and sexist because they are only directed at women, as far as I can tell. And I never see *firm handshake* to the gents.

So, my questions are:

1) Can I please have some hugs?

2) Does it annoy you ladies?

3) Should we have more hugging?

4) Does a virtual hug feel good?

5) Please can I have some hugs?

6) Should we have some more emotes?

GOG's software doesn't even support extended unicode. As for emotes, I think they've been made obsolete by emoji. 🎄
