dropping to mid 20s tomorrow... gotta love Melbourne - 3rd week in a row where it drops 15-20 degrees in the space of a day...

Also getting forecasted temperatures around 40 degrees.

Only, the unit is different; F, not C. I am glad we're getting these temperatures seeing as how the temperature has dropped to the single digits already this season (around -15 C; 40 F is around 5 C for comparison).

It was getting so cold that, with my old pair of (thin) gloves on, my fingers would go nub from the cold. Fortunately, I bought some heavier leather gloves (with animal (deer?) skin on the inside IIRC), and a friend made a nice pair of mittens.

For some reason, the cold just hasn't felt that cold to me this year. Even when it was around -15 to -20 F in the mornings, it still wasn't that bad and I was outside mostly in zip-up hoodies. Plural hoodies, but still - no winter coat except a couple days, and no gloves half the time. Unless the wind was blowing, it actually felt decent even when below zero.

Now we're playing around in the low 40s for the next day or two. Almost warm enough to open up the shop (which I keep at around 40 F) and blow some winter stink out before the temps take another dip downward.

I'm here at the self storage place this weekend. They haven't gotten mail since last week before the holiday.
