It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

When I boot up my computer, the GOG window opens up on it's own.

Short of uninstalling GOG, is there another way to prevent this. It's very annoying.
There should be a option in the program that should prevent it from starting up at launch when starting the computer.

if I am wrong sorry it's been a long time since I used GOG Galaxy.
Also, if you're running windows 10 the last update apparently changed things with startup. I guess if a program is running when you shut down windows, windows will launch it when you start back up.

I think I saw that there is an option to disable this behavior, but I'm not on win 10, so I don't know where it would be.

How to I stop GOG from poping up?
Dunno. Try taking them to a nice Protestant service, maybe you can convince them to convert. Anyway, try not to be so derogatory toward Catholics.

Windows 10 has fast boot enabled by default. Not a new thing but it's in there. That may be the problem.

You could always use the 'classic'™️ installers instead of Galaxy.
In galaxy on the circular gog.com icon on the sidebar there is a dropdown, choose settings > General
Untick the launch Galaxy on startup option
Also note that since the last update Windows 10 automatically opens all programs which were open during the last shut down. (In the name of convenience, of course ;-P)

Right click on your good ole' taskbar at the bottom of the screen, then click task manager. Then there should be a "startup" tab at the top. Click that and it should show you a list of programs that open at startup and from there you can disable or enable programs to open on Windows boot by right clicking and selecting either disable or enable. Hope this helps. :)

Yeah yeah, very funny, but I think it was merely a typo. He meant to say GOG (Galaxy) poops up.

Galaxy is not perfect and it is still in development, so it is to be expected sometimes it may be pooping up.
It's impossible to stop GOG from poping up, papal drift is inevitable.

Like all of Windows 10's weird ideas though it is easy to turn off, so there's no sense worrying much about it.

thank you

Trying not to take anyone to task here but I'm getting a little sick of the 10 bashing. It's not perfect but I've yet to find anything wrong with it that didn't take 5 seconds to fix, and for a gamer, some games, older game mind you, work better. And best of all, NO MORE rundll screwing with games starting!

I'm not sure if this works on Win10 but it works on Win7 so it's worth a try

Press: CTRL + R
Type: msconfig
Click: Startup
Untick: GOG Galaxy
Click: Ok
