On Gamersgate, I mean. I've been pestering them all week, sending them a bunch of information. Are they needy and desperate like that, that they need my "business"? GreenManGaming and 7digital were glad to get rid of me, but GG is hanging on.

Help!
What's keeping you from just not using it anymore?

That doesn't delete the account, I've tried. ;)
Seen others trying to close their accounts too.
Seems only way is to keep at support & tell them you want it closed.

Other way to speed things up, although it may depend where you reside, is that there are laws covering you that if you want your details removed from someones websites, business et al, that the firms have to remove them.

The ‘right to be forgotten’ has been in the news for quite some time now & even big firms like Google have to abide by it.

Good luck.

I thought saying that I want all my information deleted would speed it up, but it hasn't helped yet. Thanks.

Are there Canadian laws which require companies to remove information when requested? That's what will get them moving.
My GamersGate account is pretty much obsolete, as well. I only have like three games there anyway; the free Volvo game, and Cities in Motion which I also got for free from some promo once. The third game, however, is Cryostasis, so I'm not too keen on closing the account because if for some reason I felt like playing the game again, I bet it would be difficult to find again.

Out of curiosity, why do you want it deleted? You know that even if you "delete" it, they'll still have all your information archived in their database, right?

An account being "deleted" just means the status is set to "Deleted" in the database. Nothing more. So you can't use the account, but the data will still be there.
I pretty sure, that even if you get your account closed they will still keep all personal details...
Tell them you're German! :P
