I think globally, when it comes to plural confusion, we all share the silliness of having
a pair of pants, or trousers, (including undergarments of all forms...) even if we only have one.

;)
You misspelled merkin, and they don't add an S at the end because they're pubic wigs.

JMich: You're right. I mean, why can't people write the proper plural form of matrix, index, octopus, crisis, focus, criteria, mouse, die. What's so hard about those nouns?

Maighstir: I've no idea. Matrices, indices, octopodes, crises, foci, criteria (singular form: criterion), mice, and dice seem perfectly natural to me.
Yeap. Perfectly normal, all of them.

Paradoks: Criteria already is in plural form.
You'd be surprised (or not) at how often I've seen criterias been written... Not to mention the forums and datas...

Matrix: there is no plural form of 'matrix' because they never made a sequel
Index: Indexerinos (if you're not into the whole brevity thing)
Octopus: Octopussies
Crisis: Crytek
Focus: focyou
Criteria: already plural
Mouse: mices
Die: Make me.

tinyE: How come Canadians think "eh" is a fucking word!?
No worries. A Canadian should be by soon to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the controversy.

Pluralising an already plural form and ignoring the singular form entirely, I'm not surprised in the least.

Even more fun with words. Plural form of goose and plural form of moose? What about booth and tooth?

Don't worry. In Sweden awesum (as he just spelled it) is a slang term for "sucks the sweat off a dead man's balls".
