Drgnrdr: I'm from the US and debit cards do work. I use mine all the time. You just have an ISA fee you pay for using it.

flatiron: agreed. but I have never seen a fee for it... oh wait, there is a foreign transactions fee when using gog. Kinda dumb. Just make sure to buy many games at on time that way you only get the fee once. It's not a big fee.
The foreign transaction fee for me when I use my debit card is only a nickel. Anyone else here pay a similar small amount?

Try using Paypal. I've had really good luck with it on GOG. Purchased over 400 games without a single problem, ever.

Paratech2008: I acknowledge my responsibility in abusing my credit card to buy digital games. God willing in a year or 2 I will have it paid off. I have nearly 40% of the card paid off at the moment.

But I would love to be able to buy a game with another form of payment, and there is none.

Being in the US, debit cards do not work. I don't want to have to stop buying games from GOG permanently, but I am not keeping a credit card just to buy digital games.
Aside from what others have said about debit cards with or without Paypal, Paysafecard is also something to look into. You could probably find a convenience store (or whatever) near you that carries them.

There's two here in Charlotte. Neither one is in a location that I can get to.

vidsgame: You have any problems with payment, you could always create a support ticket.
They don;t touch those. It's one of the issues that I tried to bring up when I contacted legal@ a month or so ago.

Umm no offence but how is your BAD spending habbits GoG's problem? do you pay rent? do you pay utilities? do you have a car?
From the sounds of it your addicted to spending all your money in online transactions...
You have BIGGER problems then GoG accepting alternate payments. you might want to look into help for your adicition.

That's frustrating to say the least.

I did. I cut the card up and stopped using it. I've paid over $800 off a $2500 balance in less than a year.

I get a small debit card once in a while to buy something I want and stay within my budget.
I'm going through a Divorce paying the demon 1K/month, working part time, getting retirement from the military, have one credit card I set the limit of 750$ on with a 0 oustanding balance. paying off 60K student loans and I've NEVER capped out a credit card, in fact the only reason I have one is for emergencies while overseas, which nowdays is about zero times a decade. somehow between all that I still manage to remain in the black month to month, SO I know it can be done, you just need to find that ballance, sure there are things I would LOVE to have but you know what, if it's not in the budget I don't get it, or I save for it...
Well I paid off over 33% of the card after interest. I think paying that much shows I'n doing what's right and I got rid of the card and haven't used it since August last year.

I don't see a good reason to keep it and hope to have it paid off in a year.

You still have way more debt than me with the student loans and probably have a better income.

I just want to be able to buy a game here or there on sale. I don't think its asking much for an option other than a credit card.

It's been asked for before and ignored.

If you want to talk to staff about it, they're over here:

https://support.gog.com/hc

Like most support forums, it's nothing but customers here with little to no staff interaction.

You mean like Paypal, Paysafe, Webmoney, Skrill, or even using one of those methods to charge your wallet? You're not asking too much because they've already done it. Use the alternate methods available. I've NEVER used my credit card with GOG, and only a few times on Steam before THEY started accepting Paypal.

They will work. Prepaid gift cards will not work because they force you to put in the address and gog doesn't accept addresses.
I finally was given a bank card and was allowed to use it for up to 6 transactions online.

I snagged a couple things off GOG already.

If I upgrade from savings to checking, that limit will be gone, but after getting myself into trouble buying too much stuff, I want to limit my purchases.

Glad to hear you have something sorted out, I knew a credit card wasn't needed as I've never had a credit card in my life but have never had problems buying from GOG.
