my windows updated yesterday and ever since my gog games wont run...help????
Undo the update?

Although Windows 10, you can only 'postpone' a update for a limited time with their setup.

I suggest if you need to, use Windows 7, SP1, and turn off ALL updates and install what you need as you need it.
Are you trying to play through Galaxy, or just launching from a regular shortcut?

Can you list some of the games you're having trouble with?

If this is Windows 10, check to be sure the update didn't turn off DirectPlay (you want it on). Go to Control Panel, select 'Programs' and click on 'Turn Windows Features On or Off', scroll down the list to find Legacy Components and make sure there is a check in the box beside DirectPlay.

It might also be helpful if you mention what is actually occurring. A friendly reminder that you and only you can see what is occurring.

Check DirectPlay, as suggested above. If that doesn't help and you're using Galaxy, try "verify/repair" from "manage installation". Otherwise re-install the game from the installer.

Major updates with Win 10 are in fact "in place reinstalls". They often kill important settings, third party dependencies and registry entries. We have the same problem at work, after every major Windows update half our stuff we need to work needs to be repaired...

I consider writing MS a hefty email with many f-words every time... I just fear it won't help.
