Riotact: I'd actually forgotten about Seaquest! Must get some of that good stuff, never saw Farscape tbh, must look into that, cheers :)
Farscape is my favorite sci-fi series and one of my favorite series ever. Not to hype it up for you though, because a lot of people don't like it. It takes some getting used to, it's VERY different, and the first season has this feel to it that, again, takes some getting used to. I think it has to do with the production/first season budget and the fact that they are using puppets and CG and it just has a different flavor than any other sci-fi. They take things you've seen in sci-fi before and do different with it, and it has this mix of zany humor with super-serious/darker qualities that doesn't sit well with a lot of people. If at the first several tastes you aren't liking it, I still suggest sticking with it through the end of the first season, and then start the 2nd season, just for the possible need of getting used to the feel of it, and then if you aren't hooked and thinking it is great after that, maybe then give up.
Did I miss something? Am I to assume there's going to be an Evil Dead 3-esque TV series featuring Lucy Lawless and Bruce Campbell, directed / produced / written / whatever by Sam Raimi???

Breja: I was super happy when I heard about this show. I did not like the new Evil Dead movie at all, for me this is the real deal coming back right now. And I'm a huge fan of Bruce. I mean, he even made something as crazy and silly as Bubba Ho-Tep touching. He is the best kind of actor, plenty of humor and comedy talent, but also the talent to give even the goofiest material gravitas when the situation calls for it.
His performance in Evil Dead 2, in particular, is insane. Makes you wonder if he's a genius, or just plain mental -- or quite possibly a mixture of both. His character and performance in the original 3 films is arguably what turned them into such cult classics. That's also the main reason I still haven't seen the new one. Now this, on the other hand, sounds like it has real potential.
Sweeeeeet

I have this strange urge now to buy a double barreled shotgun
The amount of awesome in that trailer alone is too much for the internet to handle! And I can't think of anyone better to add to the fray than Lucy Lawless. :D
Oh lol that trailer! :D
Fingers crossed for the movie, however.
EDIT: wait, a series? Uh oh..

My favourite of the original three movies is Army of Darkness.
I hope that the overall humor&plot will be more relevant than gore. O_o

Please be on Netflix, please be on Netflix.
Also, it looks like there might be a new movie, a crossover between the old Evil Dead and the new. It will probably depend on how the series does. As long as it would not stand in the way of more seasons of the show, I'd be interested in seeing it, despite not liking the new movie much. There is no such thing as too much of Campbell as Ash.
Uhm, by the way, what is starz? An american broadcasting company?
