Prepare your decks to deal with the overwhelming Nilfgaardian forces or get ready to proudly fly the banners of the Empire!
CD PROJEKT RED, just announced the upcoming arrival of a new playable faction in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game — Nilfgaard.

Part of a major content update for the game, Nilfgaard introduces a playstyle focused on maintaining control over the battlefield. The faction equips players with a set of new gameplay mechanics such as revealing cards in the opponent’s hand, controlling the order of cards in player decks, and trickery based on the use of disloyal units.

The update expands the number of cards available in the game by over 60 — new additions also include faction-specific cards for Northern Realms, Scoia'tael, Skellige and Monsters, as well as neutral cards usable by every faction.

The content update introducing Nilfgaard is scheduled for release on February 6th, 2017.

GWENT is currently available in Closed Beta. Players wishing to participate in the beta can register on the <span class="bold">official website</span>.

Well I think they have found already a tool to prevent that... Since today morning the game is unable to find any "worthy" opponents for me... During the whole day it was able to find only four actualy, 3 of which were one and the same person of significantly higher rank than me - I play these ranked matches... Don't know if anybody has the same problem...

So stocking up could be good, yet when things are like this, it's impossible...

I'm surprised that there is no more positive comments here !
At first, personally, I reckoned there will be 4 different factions only and the developers decided to remove Nilfgaard.
I'm getting excited to see a different way to play and the news cards for everybody.

As per the specific time...have no idea. The game typically "new day" at 6:00pm Central US time, though.
