A new update for GWENT: The Witcher Card Game is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4!

With this update, our main focus was to fix major issues experienced by the players, especially on Xbox One platform whereby turn progression would get blocked, as well as improving mulligan phase - the chances of redrawing the same card that had already been put back in the deck, are decreased.

Also, we've redesigned boards - you can see your faction’s color and character spill onto battlefield now!

Full list of changes:
*New features:*
Second Arena mode added!
New board designs!
Added 30+ premium cards!

*Game fixes*
- Fixed an issue whereby turn progression would get blocked on Xbox One.
- Fixed an issue whereby users erroneously joined Arena matchmaking after selecting - Casual or Ranked play.
- Fixed the Titles displayed in Season End rewards for the top 10,000 rankings.
- Fixed Geralt: Yrden's premium card sword animation.
- Fixed an issue whereby An Craite Raider's ability would trigger when Consumed from deck or hand.
- Fixed an issue whereby Stefan Skellen would not boost Geralt: Professional after moving it to the top of the deck.
- Fixed several issues with Summoning Circle
- Fixed an issue whereby cards would get stuck after canceling their abilities.
- Added notification about GOG Galaxy overlay requirement for real currency transactions to get Mirror Shards.
- Fixed the Transmute button on previews of unowned premium cards.
- Fixed an issue whereby Cerys an Craite's counter would trigger only once when Discarded by Bran Tuirseach before 2 other units that are immediately Resurrected.
- Improved redraw algorithms to decrease the chances of redrawing a card that had already been put back in the deck once.
- Fixed an issue whereby Geralt: Professional could be played on the opponent's side.
- Several tooltip fixes and improvements.
When will Gwent be available on Windows Tablets so I can enjoy game at work please?
Thank you in advance for your reply!

Sorry for hijacking this thread, but I can't be bothered to post on an external forum where I have no account.

I find it really offensive by CDPR to put a Gwent icon on my desktop after each update, without my consent and any way to disable it. I haven't had a single game on GOG do this to me and I respectfully ask you to stop this bad practice.

518 games on GOG (yep, we can all see everything now mwwahaahah), and not one of them has created an icon on your desktop? That is strange as I have twice that number and every single one of them has put an icon on my desktop.
I just checked to make sure I wasn't going mad and yes Ghost of Tale, does indeed stick an icon on the desktop by default. You can change this in the installer options (I use Classic) to not create a desktop icon. Maybe there is an option like this in the always online client you have to use?
Don't get me wrong, Gwent is evil, but its because its an online only game, not because of icon creation.

Not one of them.

There is indeed an option when installing ("Create desktop shortcut") which is disabled by default. Maybe it was enabled when I installed Gwent, but I can't find a way to check or change this afterwards. Will probably just uninstall, because it pisses me off.

Very odd. I noticed installers seem to keep previous settings now - they didn't use to as far as I can remember, but now I notice that install paths are all pointing to my special setup c:/mygames, which is different to where they usually installed to.
It is annoying, but is only one delete key away.
I read "brings fixes and redesigned boards" before reading "gwent".

*sigh*
Not sure if its a new patch thing, but I tried signing on and it tells me I need to start the GOG client first, couldn't log in. I'm signed into my GOG client-it's how I got to the play gwent area in the first place. Am I missing something? downloaded latest update and tried repairing the file so far. Made sure I WAS signed in to GOG, nothing seems to help yet. Any tips would be appreciated!
With this update, Gwent has better performance on my PC :)

But is it fun or just addictive?

Themken: But is it fun or just addictive?
In my opinion, it is mostly second: collecting all cards can be very addictive! :)
So, to answer my own question regarding the desktop icon...

I did some digging in the Galaxy DB via SQLite and found that indeed Gwent had the desktop shortcut enabled.

If anyone is in the same dilemma, it can be checked using the following query:
select productId from ProductSettings where desktopShortcut=1;
Further steps are left as an exercise to the reader.

Last but not least I'd like to apologise to CDPR for the false accusations in my first post. I thought about editing the post, but since it has been quoted already it will only cause confusion.

Good to see GOG is working hard on fixing the most pressing matters.
In other news, a crapton of other games have also received updates, but the community is mostly left to its own devices to figure out what's what.

You do know that it's not Gog who is working on Gwent right ?

Or are you soon going to accuse Gog of wasting their time working on Cyberpunk instead of fixing the forum...
