Elmofongo: If it were not for him people would have bought The War Z. Guise of the Wolf or Day One: Garry's Incident by accident.

F4LL0UT: No. Just no.

NoNewTaleToTell: Correct me if I'm wrong (as I haven't experienced it first hand) but (for some games at least) isn't signing into Rockstar Social Club required just to be able to save?
avatar
F4LL0UT: "Just to be able to save." Well, if you can't save you can't possibly beat the game (unless you're really going to keep your machine running for a week or something). But I think in case of GTA it was GFWL you had to be logged into to be able to save, not Rockstar Social Club.

Anyway, the exact benefits of Rockstar Social Club differ from game to game. I only specifically remember that you needed to log in for some exclusive in-game items in Red Dead Redemption. I haven't tried to play GTA V online myself yet but I wouldn't be surprised if you needed to be logged into RSC to do that. The multiplayer is certainly largely connected to it (my friend has shown me some stuff - user generated content, clans etc., all that stuff powered by RSC).
Enlighten me.
Well luckily I already played it on the PS3, I would normally buy the PC version of good games later on for better graphics and mods. But I guess I'll give this one a miss.

F4LL0UT: It's funny how oblivious people are to the fact that additionally Rockstar Social Club will be required for some of the functionality. I'm certain it's again going to be three layers of DRM.
The connectivity and performance problems will once again be legendary. Another 5$ game in two years for me.
Is there any news/rumor of Rockstar removing GFWL from GTA IV?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
What is Denuvo?

Shadowstalker16: What is Denuvo?
A new type of DRM.

So the triple layer DRM+SecureROM wasn't enough? Was thinking about getting this since regionally priced physical copies were available. Its gone now. IGN 30/10 for R*
I, for one, welcome our DRM overlords...

If you're a PC gamer, Cockstar will taker their elephantine dick and shove it down your ass. This is what they've always done. No shits are given for PC gamers. They would comment on the matter, as soon as they could cough up all the dicks from Microsoft they're currently swallowing.

Yeah, they make good games but they hate PC gamers. Every Rockstar game for PC is just a massive shit on us.
And the biggest shit was GTA IV.

... clicks on thread thinking, "What the hell is Denuvo?"...

... reads about what Denuvo is...

... backs away slowly...
How does Denuvo work exactly? The official site is very vague and I can not get any results about it without posts berating Rockstar. If it isn't obtrusive or do anything to my machine's performance I am fine with it.
Will they ship the 100GB HDD the game requires with the game? Or will they compress something for once?
