http://www.pcgamer.com/gta-5-delayed-again-on-pc/

"Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game," reads the official statement, "but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC."

After that statement it better be the best possible port of all time for PC. I think after the whole controversy with AC: Unity is really forcing people to not rush games into market.

Miyamoto said it himself:

"A delayed games is eventually good, a rushed game is forever bad"

EDIT UPDATE:

PC Trailer and so far this does look like its coming out this month:

"And multiple delays spells catastrophe. Please understand."
Well hopefully it's for real bug fixing.

He said that or someone else?

But I am judging from the comment of Rockstar. They better live up to their word that the game will be polished because let's face it I have played GTA 5 and the game is HUGE!!!

So many details in that game that just porting it in itself is an arduous task. Especially since this is the PS4/Xbox One version they are porting.

So far they really do not want to repeat GTA 4 on PC again.....Unless GTA 4 PC suffered from Multiple delays aswell?

If its really for adding DRM they probably already done it in the time of the last delay when it was going to be released at March.

Ah, its only a few days, anyway. Better this way. Maybe they are going to reconsider, this game SHOULDN'T be exclusive to steam... Never buying if that is the case. Also, it is better to be delayed, because there is a slim chance of them reconsidering and putting out Denuvo of the final product/version.

Let's keep fingers crossed and wait. But seriously, if it has heavy (and issues-causing) DRM, or is Steam exclusive, i will never buy and will pirate. No more stomaching sh*t. Or if it is half that bad as 4 had been.

Also from the same official statement:
"As always, we ask for the GTA PC community’s understanding and assistance in helping to report any concerns during the early days of launch when those inevitable initial teething issues arise on the new platform."

Yeap. Sounds like you hit the nail.... with your forehead. :p

Oh comeon.... everyone and their grandparents by now know, that porting between consoles / PC has gotten easier with every new generation of consoles since the PS2 / XBox launch.

Don't care about the ingame monopoly money for pre-ordering.
I do care about the rumors of always-online DRM in form of the Rockstar Social Club.

All in all as a PC gamer I waited enough already Rockstar. Don't be surprised, if I wait a bit longer and get it on a sale for at least 50% off, maybe even holding out until it's available for 10 bucks.
Need to sell more consolle copies :D

Let me ask you something, are you going to be playing this game soley for its single player because IMO The Rokstar Social Club will only be used for the GTA Online portion of the game while the single player will be untouched and can still be played offline mode.

Besides the console version uses Social Club aswell for GTA Online and not needed for offline single player.

The way they're paranoid about piracy on PC, Steam alone isn't enough. They had to put in that DRM that the devs claimed can't be hacked, yeah that Denuvo thingy. Not surprised if they're now actually looking for that elixir of eternal no-piracy potion to apply on GTA 5 as well.
They realized their DRM wasn't good enough so they're trying to amp it up.

Then they are out of luck, yarr. Pirates have the almighty voodoo root-beer. No puny elixir of theirs can win against that, har har...

Seriously, though, if instead of that DRM, they focused on game quality and gameplay features... If instead of steam they also had retail or other online alternatives... Not only me, but MANY more people would buy. They never learn. The more DRM-ridden, the more it is going to (for certain) be pirated!

I really don't care what they did how on the console-versions for whatever reason. I'll judge solely the PC-version and for that, I'll wait and see what they did or not. Seeing their approach over several years - I'm not optimistic.
I've heard RSC is required for single-player too, therefore, given lack of GFWL, I'm not sure Rockstar will allow us, SP-oriented gamers to enjoy GTAV without MOAR DRM and... what was the saying, "calculations on server side"?

Anyway, not bad thing, prolly have more time to replay Witcher 1/2 in due pace in my preparations for Witcher 3. Though I wonder whether CDPR will follow Rockstar and shift release date again, especially after their recent interviews where they say they don't “think in terms of resolution or frame rate”. He-he, "no downgrade", yeah. :D
