yogsloth: Well that's new.

I'll happily abide by forum language moderation rules if they're universally applied.
BTW, what word did you use (censored version), if you don't mind me asking? I assume it was a word that singles out a gender or race, because anybody can use "f*ck" thus it isn't discriminatory.

MarkoH01: Yes, I also thought that it was quite strict for just one word but in general I think it is a good thing if GOG is now actively trying to keep the forum language clean. Like you said it then should be applied for everybody and I hope they are about to do exactly that.
From a recent thread, I hope so as well.

drmike: I don't see it with a search.

nightcraw1er.488: Thats was a bit of sarcasm at all the bugs and mess up's with sales and other announcements. Gremlins are said to be responsible for messing things up, hence the Gremlins haven't been removed.
Actually I thought you were being serious as the last time I checked, the game was still listed.

Just me trying to be helpful again.

Starts with an a and ends with some holes afair.

Wow ... okay, I mean I'm surprised, but fair enough. My first forum was a kids' games' forum so I'm used to not being able to use bad language.

One of the pluses with dealing with soccer moms and their kids. If someone acts up, guess who gets an email and a screencap. :)

It's always a plus when someone discovers all the swearing and the threats isn't needed to get something done or an error fixed. And also what little it takes to get a sheriff deputy to show up on your doorstep with a warrant. Done that four times over the years.

I had to work in one of the local businesses that I'm on call for yesterday. Almost threw someone out of the office due to all the swearing because he was upset a late fee had been applied to their account as they're a few months behind on paying. All they had to ask was ask politely and I would have removed the fees but nope. The lovely person went the sailor route along with a few comments about my condition. I wonder if the owner has viewed the tape yet....

There has to be some kind of context that made it against the rules, right? Surely the word alone isn't completely forbidden now.

It was directed at the publishers so maybe this was the reason why it was a problem.

I'd appreciate some specificity from the blues as to what isn't allowed though. There are a lot of words I don't consider offensive at all that some might.

I guess maybe yogsloth was hit because it was directed at someone else (the devs).

So you are a sheriff deputy? Sorry I'm confused about what you wrote here.

Yep, that was the word.

And in hindsight, I actually wish I hadn't used it in this particular instance.

But like I said, if there can be some official notice on changing up the allowable language and the will to universally apply it, I have no problems toning it down.

tremere110: What is up with boardgame devs and the obsession with DRM? First Armello and then this game. I just don't understand why.

Meanwhile The Warlock of Firetop Mountain is rejected by GoG despite being truly DRM-free. O_o
They want to emulate what happens in the real world, for instance card games where you pay for cards and packs and such like, have an economy for that side of it. Things like diablo 3 really showed that online market places were viable and board/card games fit extremely well in that model.

And am sure you know, but you can get warlock on humble, I got it in a sale for £5, and one day I might get round to playing it!
PS. Maybe you can publish games like The Wardrobe... already DRM-free even on Steam.

I picked up Warlock with the recent Down Under Bundle so I'm good for my DRM-Free needs in regard to that game :)

Sorry for the confusion.

Some kiddies like to make death threats and communicate hate for some strange reason. On some websites they're taken seriously.

But for reference, I used to be an EMT 2. One of the states I was licensed, they also make us reserve non sworn officers. In that state, it was illegal for us to report any sort of abuse as medical personal but as an officer, we're required to do so. That was back in the 80s though.

edit: Didn't get a note on this one. Sorry for the delay.

MarkoH01: To be honest. I could not care less for the game at all but I cared for the things the devs said abvut GOG customers and GOG itself on steam so it's not just the DRM-thing and it's definitely not the need to complain. I am just glad that they are gone.
