paladin181: Good. The only technically DRMed game in GOG's library is going. Good riddance. Glad that this game won't be around anymore.
Before anyone asks, from the game page:

PLEASE NOTE: An internet connection and GOG Galaxy are required in order to access the multiplayer and single-player modes of Gremlins, Inc.The companion product Gremlins vs Automatons that is included with Gremlins, Inc. does not require any internet connection in order to play.

I seem to be the only one whining about this, but NEX MACHINA is just as "DRM" as this one. It is a single player game, and the high score, which is the only thing you have to strive for, is locked to Galaxy, as are one of the game modes and all the characters visual unlocks and the achievements.
While I am not a bit sad to see this game go, the other part of the post worries me. I was away from the site for some time. So what is this "games being removed because of relocation to Poland" thing? Can any kind soul enlighten me on the issue!

Thank you!
I really was away from the site and especially the forums for a long time.

Gersen: Honestly I know that a lot of peoples love to hate this game for some reason, but I never really understood exactly why; the game has an offline DRM-free single player part on top of the online multiplayer one and the "online only DLCs" were only a couple of avatar to use during multiplayer, it's not like they really had any use in single player or anything.
Ditto. People aren't happy unless they are complaining about something.

To be honest. I could not care less for the game at all but I cared for the things the devs said abvut GOG customers and GOG itself on steam so it's not just the DRM-thing and it's definitely not the need to complain. I am just glad that they are gone.

That part I can agree with... seeing as I kind of started the whole argument with them on Steam. As a company I dislike them for sure.

Wait, really? So the visual unlocks are locked behind online/galaxy?

OT:

Why Recettear An Item Shop's Tale and Chantelise - A Tale of Two Sisters were being removed aswell? Most of the games in that list weren't update like steam counterpart, but what about these 2? I own them already, but I would like to know. The explanation about the relocation doesn't give much info.

Company reorganization meant that all contracts would have to be renewed. Publisher of said games could not be reached to renew the contracts, thus GOG could no longer sell them.
And when was the last update of those games?
Thanks GOG for the removal and elcook for the notification.

This game has never belonged here.

I see. Well, dunno about the update, but they "should" be on par with the steam version, hopefully.

Indeed. Or rather, the game mode used to gather points for the visual unlocks are Galaxy Only. Worse still is that the game cannot save the high score without Galaxy, making your quest for a higher score pretty pointless.

It's not fair that basic features are locked to a "fully optional"™ client.
