Ciris: I'm now tempted to edit my original post to start with "Good news, everyone!". Darnit.
Don't you worry Ciris! We'll be waiting under the table prepared, with paper bags on our heads..
I used to have fun with that shit when I was in certain multiplayer games, letting people know after a few weeks/months of assuming I'm a male can be quite entertaining.

But no, the 'issue' is certain types wanting attention - noone I ever knew was offended by manholes and such either.
Be prepared for the Return of GOGBear!

Ciris: If everyone here is a guy... Does that mean... Am I a guy...? I should probably tell the significant other ASAP...

But seriously, if it offends people that I call a group of users "guys" instead of "guys and gals", I can change my ways. Just let me know if it's an issue or a singular troll attempt! :)

Fesin: I'll just have you know that I'm not your guy, buddy!
I'm not your buddy, pal!

IAmSinistar: Optimistic Me says that this is the long-awaited forum and site overhaul, where GOG implements all the ideas they have gathered from listening to us and distilled them into an update that will blow all other gaming forums out of the water.

Pessimistic Me says that this is purely Galaxy related and we'll see sod-all in terms of forum or site improvements.

Which will win their friendly wager?
I would assume that he forums will get their Galaxy transplant, and - I think - thus complete the move that the site has been under for a damned long while.

Is that like one of those old science fiction films where a mad scientist gives an ape the brain of a chicken?

Methinks Optimistic You will be sorely disappointed tomorrow. Looking at GOG's track record over the past couple of years, I see very little reason to be optimistic about this update. If all goes as usual, it'll add some stuff that nobody wants (which won't work properly anyway), while removing or breaking several things that most people find essential.

cogadh: Nothing impatient about it, it's a legitimate question. Ciris told us there would be news about community changes coming this week, but there was no prior mention of required downtime.
I was just kidding. But you've been here long enough to know that there's a long distance to cover between GOG saying "there will be news this week about X" and actually doing something about X. ;-)

And then say they may never be fixed again, because it's not a priority for them.
About 30 min to go.

BKGaming: About 30 min to go.
Damn. Not entirely sure that is enough time to abandon all hope. :)

Maybe I'm just weird, but my current hope revolves around list items showing up on Thursday and Friday.
