I clicked on the homepage of GOG, and got the key in email.

I have had the game, so I want to give it to my friend.
But when I tried to make sure the key is working, GOG redeem page showed the warning:
"Uh oh. This code has expired. If you believe this is incorrect, please let us know."
I have not give it to anyone yet, only tested it myself.

I have opened an GOG Support ticket for this: #55122
Kbnrylaec, you are not worthy :P
Same case here.
MWAHAHAHAHA! Oops! Sorry about that. I will show myself out.

Grargar: Same case here.
Did you also own the game beforehand? If so, perhaps the code is only redeemable to your account, and can't be given away? One possibility. Or, it's just a glitch (the gods know that's an even greater possibility with GOG).

*edit* Okay, I picked up the game (did not own it prior) and it was added to my account automatically. So this is either a glitch or they don't want the codes to be given away.

If they don't want the codes to be given away, they should not give me a code instead of giving me an expired one, shouldn't they?

Ah, but you're using logic. Doesn't apply here.

Seriously, though, I don't know why I worded it that way. Meant to say they don't want the codes to have unlimited time to be given away. Probably an expiry date attached and they've borked up the date.

Yes, I had the game beforehands. Leaving aside the typical possibility of Glitchiness Inc.™, I find it a weird and messy way for GOG to essentially say "LOL no gift for you", as it takes needless space in the order history.
Same case here.

BTW I already owned Saint's Row 2 when it was given for free a few weeks ago but I got a working code (still valid atm), there must be a problem with this giveaway or GOG just changed something.

JMich, do you know if the replacement keys have an expiry date?

Just a question do you see an expiry date in the email or can you see this only on the redeem page, currently can't check past the redeem page since i am getting the Cannot contact reCAPTCHA. Check your connection and try again.
