Everyone has his flaws.

Seriously. It's time for GOG sale. Steam sale is comming and GOG starts earlier mostly.
Truly. GOG knows its place, lol.

Given when last week's sales end, and that we got no new sale today, is it fair to expect a big sale tomorrow?

Edit: nevermind, there is a new sale, it's just not in the news feed yet.

Yup, a lot of mess and delayed announcement here, but there seems to be no big sale scheduled for today. And number of launched offers suggest that we should not expect anything like that this week.
Are you referring to a major sale like for autumn, for next week? Steam's is coming up soon and as the poster above notes, GOG prefers to be first before all the attention goes to its competition.

The strategy week offer is a joke .
The indie week offer is uninteresting .
The publisher sale is overpriced .

So this week is a big meh for me .
GOG has done a week of presales before major sales before and these are all ending the 24th, so almost certainly the Halloween Sale, whatever they call it this year, will start the 24th. Guessing that they will still want it to cover Halloween, I'm going to guess November 7 as the end date.

It makes sense. And it's still a day before Steam Halloween Sale (starting Tuesday, 25th).

It's true GOG tries to start earlier and avoid parallel events, but in some cases (as Halloween) it's simply impossible. For Christmas they just start 2-4 weeks before, call it Winter Sale and ok. But I guess starting Halloween sale in the middle of October would be weird. So thay can only go in parallel with Steam or pass.

If I were GOG I would start the sale this weekend.

It would not be the first time a big sale starts while publisher sales are still going on. Those publisher sales are just added to the big sale. In fact, it is a good way for some publishers to give their products more visibility before the big event starts. Also, some publishers decide to put their products on sale a few days after the start of the big sale to have some extra visibility. Bethesda does this, for example.
Then it's looking promising for a lesser seasonal sale (Halloween) to launch just after next weekend. It'll still be 2 months before winter or Christmas, so it'll be time for some major titles to be included before the big sale to come. And the last thing GOG wants is for Steam to be first and basically distract the market.
There's this sale up and running (probably since midnight CEST):
https://www.gog.com/en/promo/20221020_bethesda_halloween_sale
(note it will last 12 days and 12 hours – i.e. ends November 1st)

It may be just fancy name of yet-another-one of Bethesda's boring sales OR it may be a first sign of some bigger Halloween event being around a corner :)
This aligns with other posters, above, suggesting a major sale could start next week.

Quern - Undying Thoughts (Original Soundtrack) in weekend promo without base game.

Will Quern be next freebie? Freebie = big sale.
