Oddeus: Years ago I told my friends, that I found a really cool site called "cock.com". They said, that I´m disgusting :(
What's wrong with your friends? A proud cock is a beautiful sight to behold. And hens are pretty cute too.
Gog or dog, that is the question
Vogue with a G.
At this point in time, I call it gog oh gog.
For me it's "gog" because it sounds like the grog from Monkey Island (one of my reasons to join the site in the first place).
gee OH gee

as in gOg

When they screw up, it's "Oh my gog, what ever were you thinking?"
Why bother with three syllables instead of one?
Just GOG. In fact, I remember being surprised when they pronounced it like gee oh gee on some of those first promotional videos from ages ago.

I told them that it´s not about birds but about drm-free games. But they said, I should get myself a pussycat or something.
From now on THIS is how we write it:

gee oh gee, so they'll know you're talking about an acronym.
It's just GOG. Nobody has the time to spell out each letter, especially in English.

I believe that fulanodetal was referring to the name that the website had previously used, Good Old Games, hence their mention of the G.O.G. acronym.

That much is obvious. I used the rhetorical question to show that GOG is no longer (since 2012 even) an acronym.
