green tentacle's a good guy in both games iirc. I can't specifically remember singing.

That's what I'm seeing in the Day of the Tentacle wiki. Green one was good and part of the playable characters.

Suddenly, as the sun is almost gone, a burst of activity occurs and Bobbin finds himself very close to being lynched. "Hey! I'm one of the good guys! I can help! You don't want to lose me!" he protests. So some withdraw their vote and look at each other in bewilderment. What to do now? But then, suddenly, the sun is gone and darkness falls.

Green can play an important role with Syd and/or Razor; the kids can give him the Cassette Tape recorded with their own music. Green will listen to it and then leave its own Demo Tape on the bed, which can be used to have a Contract by Mark Eteer. With this, he becomes the kids' friend and helps them to pass its Purple brother.

Although friendly, Green can also be dangerous to the kids: if a kid plays the tape of "tentacle mating calls" in its room, Green will move towards the kid and attempt intercourse, resulting in death.

Another sunrise that looks as if it was painted. The monkeys are chattering, the brook is gurgling, a dragon is flying by with a smoking tail. And a flock of seagulls lands on the bank of the river. But Prof. Henry Jones isn't here to make use of them. He has opened his umbrella for the last time and will never look for the holy grail again.
