blotunga: What I don't like is GH again coming with ideas about claims. I think we had some of those in past games from him, not sure if AI.
avatar
GymHenson: It was more a call to make sure we get a wagon built up with time to spare to change course if need be.....claims are just a side aspect of that, as usually claims come when players are brought close to lynch.
I'm curious about how, forming wagons quick is a great slogan but I am not able to understand how you suggest that we go ahead with doing that. What criteria would you use to do that?

avatar
GymHenson: Not much if at all...but I don't have much to go on in general, so i'm willing to vote near anyone (barring newbies) so we can get a claim out of them early enough and decide how to move forward.

Of course I am more than willing to lump my vote on whoever the majority thinks is most suspect atm.....as long as we can avoid the situation from last game(where we all got caught with our pants down on several "days" near EOD).
I'm asking because to me this doesn't seem much like a plan

It's because of your fixed mindset. Try thinking outside the box and you'll see how great the plan of lumping votes with the majority is. No risk no gain.

GymHenson: Sorry for not being more clear with what I meant.....by neutral I didn't mean another faction....by neutral I mean people I don't know whether to lean more town or scum at the moment.

Those types I don't know whether to lean a good amount towards town or scum I lean as neutral....as in I don't know which way to lean them. :)
avatar
Korotan: So there are no neutral roles? Because I read about them in the Sign Up post.
How can town "know" anything at this juncture??

It's possible there is a neutral role. It's also possible there is not one.

Speculation leads me to think there are three scum players, one neutral player and the rest are town.

Of course I could be wrong and there are four mafia and no neutral.

Anyone with "knowledge" should be viewed with suspicion.

Personally I would assume with 14 players two neutral roles because then Mutants would be in releationship to humans be 1 to 4.

GymHenson: BTW, what are your thoughts on the two others who I think/feel didn't read the OP post?
As for the Korotan he’s hard to read, but he’s not set off any alarms for me yet so I have him as meh I don’t know.

Pooka seems more reserved than what I expect of him. I’m trying to give him the benefit of the doubt since I know he just came back from being burnt out, but I’m hoping he starts participating more and gets back into the groove of things. Right now I have him slightly leaning scum.

We might need to consider having flub share the alcohol and loosen everyone up, flub always has the alcohol ;-)

Well that is because I am just here to enjoy the show, comment to shit and learn for next game how to read people better. For here I can guarentee I am harmless and just an active watcher.

true dat bruh!!!

GymHenson: Well yes, in a way it is.....I want to make sure town doesn't get caught like the last game.
You keep bringing that up. Town didn't lose because they didn't have time to react to claims. Neither Trent nor Blotunga were lynch in a massive rush. Nmillar was slowly burned down by Town players and left to the scum to get finished off. If you remember (as I know you have a condition and actually might not) we even did a mass claim which under the circumstances wasn't going to help anyway and it didn't. We lost because of bad Town reads. The final mislynch happened exactly because some people thought it was a good idea to push other people to pile-range range so we have time to react.

Where Joe and Catte at?

Did Catte even post before? I can not remember him.
8 PAGES!? How did the game jump to 8 pages in the last couple of days?

avatar
Korotan: Did Catte even post before? I can not remember him.
Of course I did, it's just this game is apparently like Narnia. A lot more time seems to have passed in here than has done in the real world.

Korotan: Did Catte even post before? I can not remember him.
Last thing I remember from him was when he said he had a rough day and was too tired to actually participate. I believe it was yesterday so he's been away for a while and missing all the fun.

Joe is also nowhere to be found.

my name is vaughlte catte: 8 PAGES!? How did the game jump to 8 pages in the last couple of days?
Oh, there you are!
avatar
Korotan: So there are no neutral roles? Because I read about them in the Sign Up post.
Afaik those are just POSSIBLE roles in this game....as stated in the OP post:

"This is a semi-open role madness game. It may contain some non-standard roles in addition to normal roles. Some normal roles may also be modified. A discussion of possible non-standard roles can be found in the signup thread."

So if I read it right, we know what roles MIGHT be in the game but not all the specific ones being used....well barring ones like the messaging service one mentioned in the OP, that is(which might be the courier OP talked about in the signup thread).

We try to reach consensus on whom everyone would most likely vote for at this juncture.

----

To hunter and all: If everyone posted their top 3 they'd be willing to vote for that'd be a great start.
(@OP: Above is NOT a vote...nor is this)

Hunter65536: I'm asking because to me this doesn't seem much like a plan
Fair enough and thanks for asking.

And yeah it probably doesn't seem like much of a plan to some players such as yourself....but imo it beats waiting till we have 4 or less hours irl time to go, and half the players or so are offline like what happened in the last game.

In general, imo it's better than nothing on "days" like D1 where there is usually little to go on if one has no real suspects/suspicions...or at least not very good ones.

Also yeah i'm all about taking risks......which is partially shown by the fact that i'm willing to try "unorthodox"(read: non standard) plans to win.

Of course I think both our playstyles have benefits and drawbacks, which is why if you're town as well we need to work together...like peanut butter and chocolate. :D
