The second sentence feels unfinished; what did you intend to say there?

dedoporno: Is it bad enough to not justify at least some elaboration?

ZFR: ...

That's how I took scene's vote on Carradice. Not serious. The fact that you wanted to twist his RVS-ish vote into 'he's voting for someone who can't defent himself' struck me as very bad"

But now scene replied and apparently he *did* mean it as a serious vote for "lurkers"?? I take it back then.
So do you believe that dedo *knew* that scene's vote was a serious one?
If you believe that, why does that make dedo's post less bad exactly?
If you don't believe that, why does that make dedo's post less bad exactly?

You voted in #79. Did you really not see anything of significance yet at that point?
Or did you not bother to look, since as scum you happened to know that nothing of significance had happened?
The Queen was just about to take her expensive smartphone out of her pocket, were it not for the spark of the guards. Glorious! The accusations were starting to get plenty.

It seems the new stars of the show were Tareq and Faris. Their accusations were such that you couldn't tell who was right or who was wrong. Or even if they were both wrong. Just in the background, Abd-allah was getting a bit of heat, from the timid Khaled of all people, as well as Lathif. She was anxious, she wanted to know whose butt would end up in prison. But there was still a ways to go.

unvote scene
since we're firmly out of RVS. I would still like you to give some sign of having understood the way in which no lynch has been made less likely in this game, though.

Oh just that there is a good possibility of a 3 faction game

Other than yourself voting for me for not reading the rules, not really no, I stated as much. I'm beggining to see Joe going after ZFR and Microfish for their avatars a little suspicious. I can't for one moment imagine 2 mafia players would want to draw attention to themself in this way

ZFR: The fact that you wanted to twist his RVS-ish vote into 'he's voting for someone who can't defent himself' struck me as very bad
I didn't twist it in any way. I also did mention anything about defended oneself. I wrote "say anything back". It wasn't that much about scene targeting someone who can't defend themselves but someone who isn't likely to say anything at all. That's a free vote in an environment where people often get reprimanded about not voting and where votes should be backed decent enough arguments behind them to fly.

I don't buy the nudging bit.

ZFR: But now scene replied and apparently he *did* mean it as a serious vote for "lurkers"?? I take it back then.
If your original disapproval is true you shouldn't be taking anything back as scene's response has nothing to do with my position on the matter. I couldn't have known what he meant so his explanation shouldn't be affecting your view towards me.
avatar
dedoporno: It wasn't that much about scene targeting someone who can't defend themselves but someone who isn't likely to say anything at all.
I don't see the distinction? Do you think it's possible Carradice will end up saying nothing at all before Pooka subbing him out?
Can't defend themselves = isn't likely to day anything at the moment.

Yes, you're both right actually.
avatar
Lifthrasil: The town claim might be a joke too.
avatar
gogtrial34987: Are you seriously claiming not to have seen the similarity to its obvious reference?
You yourself commented upon Micro's claim 5 posts after it was made back then, and that was just one month ago.
Well, I did remember that we had a similar, scummy Town-claim in a game before. Yes. That doesn't make it better. And no, I didn't see it as intentional reference. Why should I? What's obvious to you isn't necessarily obvious to others. So I took the statement on it's own: an unnecessary early Town claim, that was probably meant as a joke but still looked somewhat scummy.
avatar
ZFR: Yes, you're both right actually.
And that means... what exactly? Are you now thinking that dedo's post was very bad again?
avatar
ZFR: Yes, you're both right actually.
avatar
gogtrial34987: And that means... what exactly? Are you now thinking that dedo's post was very bad again?
Maybe without the "very".
avatar
JoeSapphire: No don't do that, people will think you're doing that breadloafing-the-truth-as-scum thing and it will draw attention to you.
avatar
gogtrial34987: Why would you not want attention drawn to you?
Well it depends what kind of attention. Do I want everybody to tell me how nice my avatars look and how pretty/sexy/nice I am? Heck yes!
Do I want everybody going on about how I used the word "panic"? No.

So I considered making a joke, but then decided that, considering the context in which I have made similar jokes in the past, it might mislead a bunch of people into thinking it had significance when it would not. So I decided not to make the joke. Is that fair?

avatar
JoeSapphire: You can guarantee it?
avatar
gogtrial34987: C'mon, you can do better than that!
No, I can't guarantee it, as of course Lift could be scum. But if a scum!Lift trusts me... well, I think he'd deserve his fate, then.
Oh it didn't occur to me that you were speaking to Lift alone. I just was asking if you could guarantee that we wouldn't regret trusting you.

Now I think about it more I can see you might have meant "trust me" as "don't vote for me" rather than "do what I think you should do" so maybe I just totally misread you.

avatar
supplementscene: I'm beggining to see Joe going after ZFR and Microfish for their avatars a little suspicious.
I didn't do that though.
Is there a bunch of people thinking that's what I did?

If you thought I meant "do what I think you should do", why would you ask me to elaborate on it?
Doesn't that seem like a somewhat... fishy thing to do?

how do you feel Lift?
Hey yous, I'm sorry I've barely contributed anything today (below even my usual D1 standards). I'm feeling really under the weather today (moreso this evening) and I'm having trouble sequencing thoughts. I'm still trying to stay caught up with the game though.
