blotunga: Since there are no better wagons yet and I rather not no-lynch at the RVS:
Huh.

avatar
PookaMustard: It's two days in and he's already got a wagon at FIVE votes! Two more and he'll be good as dead.
Good. Lets get 'er dun!

avatar
PookaMustard: but we've more to gain from letting him live until a day before the official deadline
This is what causes lynches to fall apart. "I've still got time"

avatar
blotunga: Well, I do think there are scum on scene's wagon, and while he seems fishy, not yet lynchable for sure. Unfortunately with the likelyhood of a godfather, we can't even trust investigaitons.
...Huh.

avatar
supplementscene: dare I say analytical poster. At least the first poster who had a serious vote.
What have you analyzed before this post?

avatar
supplementscene: At least the first poster who had a serious vote.
Why is this relevant?

avatar
supplementscene: I tend to think 2 of...
Why two?

avatar
blotunga: At this moment I'm just RVS mode
...Huh...

avatar
Microfish_1: @ZFR what happens if two NK's cross? IE if the SK and scum shoot each other during the same action phase?
Both die, assuming no outside intervention. Standard convention is that actions which interfere (ex. Roleblocker) will take precedence, otherwise basically everything happens. Even if one of those actions might make another useless (night kill off-ing a cop, for example).

avatar
Microfish_1: Where do you get this Information, Please? I read the page and do not see any firm indication of how many mafia there are, etc, just that the more powerful town is, the more powerful scum are, and vicey-versy.
You can see the boundaries by looking at the setup page. There is a Godfather unless there were 3 or 4 rolls of T, etc.

Granted, Joe has been questioned and still got his numbers wrong (there can only be 2 or 3 mafia).

avatar
Microfish_1: I'm town, so i'll confirm it by saying, "something that is stupid and wrong."
Good enough for me! Micro is lock-town, no need to investigate or think about it any further! :)

I think my wagons mafia heavy, it grew too fast to 5 votes and the reasoning from Agent, Gogtrial, Trent, Blotunga was all sloppy and lazy. Gogtrial even said I appeared to play similarly to my Liberal game and still voted for me.

I am analytical because I noted Gogtrial's potential coaching, his questioning instead of analysing, Trent's agreeableness and above players sloppy analysis.
Awesome

I'll grant that it grew quickly (which doesn't bother me), I'll also grant that Agent's and Blotunga's votes (especially Blotunga) were lacking in support.

I think Trent and Gogtrial look okay in their reasoning.

I'll grant you made observations about Gogtrial, though I disagree with both aspects of your analysis about as much as it is possible to disagree.

I don't see why you get analysis credit for Trent, Agent, or Blotunga; you didn't do any analysis on them before you claimed you were being the most analytical.
Bookwyrm's isolated some huhworthy portions of blotunga's post, and boy are they huhworthy. I guess these aren't my pinstripe-tinted glasses after all!

I'm more confident with blotunga's lunch than I am with supplementscene's right now. But it's early days yet.

Agreed.

His Unvote was just too opportunistic.

Vote: blotunga

flubbucket: Do blue jeans come in other colors??
I own pairs of red and black blue jeans.

avatar
gogtrial34987: That technicality is all I need to claim unbroken string of rolling town.
You know who else claims such things? Exactly!

avatar
SirPrimalform: The extra faction in his last game was the advertised twist. Since this one is apparently C9++ without a twist, there's no point in trying to metaread ZFR because everything has been decided by his beloved random.org.
There is no point discussing game setup at all.

avatar
PookaMustard: The Mafia Wiki is a great help to me as Town.
Nice plug.

avatar
JoeSapphire: But I'm probably right anyway
You know it! Don't you?

avatar
supplementscene: Mafia may have a roleblocker or cop of their own
They can?!

avatar
PookaMustard: In my first game (#59, Captain Sapphire THE MOVIE), I repeatedly brought up the idea that there could be a serial killer among us. I also learned that time that Town may have more to deal with than just the Mafia...
Speaking of which, how come you aren't preoccupied about that this time around when such a thing is a lot more probable? Are you a SK, Pooka?

[A few posts later (read in Spongebob narrator voice)]

I've never been the biggest fan of scene but he garnered a whole lot of votes way too fast, didn't he? Doesn't that seem a bit too easy?

avatar
supplementscene: Note no one else has got on my gogtrial wagon.
Maybe because it doesn't make a whole lot of sense?

avatar
flubbucket: His Unvote was just too opportunistic.
His original vote as well. I like you.
avatar
dedoporno: There is no point discussing game setup at all.
I wouldn't say there's no value at all, but there's not much value now. At the moment it could be anything possible within C9++ (which is public knowledge). As people flip we can gain some insight into decoding the particular set up we have which could serve a purpose in the end game.
There's no point wasting time on it now though.
avatar
SirPrimalform: There's no point wasting time on it now though.
Precisely.

1. You should be concerned with how wagons grow fast because it indicates opportunistic mafia players are mislynching. Unless ofcourse you aren't Town.

2. I've made more analysis than anyone in the game

3. I analysed Trent, Agent and Blotunga in that exact post

4. You haven't discussed the analysis of their motives. Why were Trent and Gogtrials in their reasoning? For instance with Trent he's talking about me focusing on game set up, when I'm not I'm accusing Gogtrial of coaching Mafia players. Trent's still salty with me anyway from a prior game though and defended putting SPF at 1 from hammer that saw Town lose game 57. Yes it's his fault they lost that game. So if anything he's less suspect for those reasons.
avatar
blotunga: When I was scum, there was almost always a fascist on the longest wagon, even if he was scum. Ok, a day 1 bus is most likely unnecessary, probably won't come to that anyway, so if you turn out town yeah, I'd also look closely to car, gogtrial and trent. At this moment I'm just RVS mode, trying to feel out reactions etc, which is what I always do, regardless of being town or scum. Incidentally this time I'm town again.
I find it a bit odd you went back on your vote when a lynch was so close.....perhaps scene is scum and you are also scum & you voted for them and then removed your vote to make you both look like town? I dunno....it seems odd, is all.

I wasn't seriously looking to lunch scene (yet). As I said, I like fishing in muddy waters of the random voting stage, it can reveal a lot later. That being said, flub jumping on my wagon just because my unvote seemed opportunistic... Really?

vote flubbucket
Vote Count

(When you see a vote count please quickly make sure your vote is against the correct player. Let me know if it's not)

scene 4 - Bookwyrm, agentcarr, gogtrial, trent
blotunga 2 - JoeSapphire, flub
gogtrial 1 - scene
Micro 1 - Pooka
JoeSapphire 1 - SirPrimalform
flub 1 - blotunga

Everyone else - 0
Not voting: Micro, dedoporno, GameRager

13 players left. It takes 7 to lynch.
scene is closest at L-3

With everyone accounted for now, I can set the end of D1 at Saturday, roughly when it's afternoon in Europe, and morning/noon across the Atlantic.

More precise time will be given later.

What do you read from it?

supplementscene: 1. You should be concerned with how wagons grow fast because it indicates opportunistic mafia players are mislynching. Unless ofcourse you aren't Town.
Or unless I just like watching people flip. Which I do.

I've been going through an artistic phase in my mafia career, recently. I like painting things red.

avatar
supplementscene: 3. I analysed Trent, Agent and Blotunga in that exact post
Which is my point.

You said "And all of a sudden I have a wagon of 5 ... after being the most ... dare I say analytical poster."

You had not performed any analysis of Trent, Agent, or Blotunga prior to that post, so analysis of them doesn't mark you as the most analytical.

avatar
supplementscene: 4. You haven't discussed the analysis of their motives.
Trent's reaction in this game feels much like my own.
I'm keeping an eye on Gogtrial to see what he does and what he doesn't.
Agent has provided nothing to analyze.
Comments have already been made about the quality of Blotunga's vote.

Good points and In was only questioning it a bit and not trying to paint you as scum(yet)...which is why I didn't vote for you.

Does this mean that anyone closest to lynch at that time will be lynched or will it result in a nolynch?
