russellskanne: The last good releases where the Crysis games and Mirrors Edge (and maybe SWAT 4 too). We are still waiting desperatly for such ancient stuff like Oblivion(!1). Get your shit together and hire people who land the important contracts (Close!). I have nothing against indies, but come on, release more AAA games devoid of nasty drm! Thats what I care for! And now, folks, vote as you please...
I totally agree, 2017 has been dismal here. A string of naff indie, indev, preorder rubbish. Weekly joke sales of 0.01% off. Big news the next big push for a DRM client has been made, sure its still optional at the moment. Cant get anything new, how about supporting beamdog taking your cash for old rope. Very disappointing, in fact only 2 games have even hit my wishlist.

It's March!
Give it another month or two people! :P
I'm not saying 2017 won't suck, I'm just saying lets hold off a little longer here before casting judgement.

zeogold: It has recently come to my attention that not everybody seems to understand our little forum traditions. I have received alarming cries of "Zeo, why does everybody complain in the release threads?" and "Oh great and powerful Puzzlemaster, please reveal to me the secrets of how to join this time-honored tradition of whining about the lack of good old games." Well, never fear, my fine fellows! For your convenience, I've set up this handy-dandy flowchart!

1. Is there a new release? If yes, go to 2. If no, go to 6.
2. Is it indie and developed after 2005? If yes, go to 7. If no, go to 3.
3. Is it a modern AAA game? If yes, go to 8. If no, go to 4.
4. Is it truly a good old game? If yes, go to 9. If no, go to 9 anyways.
5. Do you like pierogi? If yes, go to 11. If no, go to 10.
6. Complain about there being no new releases.
7. Complain about the terrible quality of the new releases and how GOG is letting in indie trash on your beloved old game website, not letting any old games in anymore. Proceed to 10.
8. AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
9. Complain about the fact that the game you wanted isn't here yet, regardless of whether GOG can even get it in or not.
10. Get curbstomped by JMich.
11. Complain anyways.
This is an outrage. I never thought we could get to this new low on the store.
Not only are we always getting flooded by those unbearable p&c adventures that noone likes -the only thing this joke of a store sells- we also have a choose-your-own-adventure game... inside the thread!!!!!!!

Meh! Meh! Meh!

PS:
For those that can't get that my post is sarcasm, I liked @zeogold post. And:
- I can't have enough p&c aventure games, and there have been several rejected.
- Not every game released is a p&c adventure even when it's labeled here as such.
- Not every adventure is the same; a game like quern is a genre apart from thimbleweed park.
- I'm getting sick and tired of the mehme.

Well you should be doing that anyway. Never know when you're gonna need it.

clifford1944: Besides Oblivion how about:

1. Myth series
2. Fallout New Vegas
3. Age of Empires series
4. Age of Sail series

I am sure I missed something. Just add them all.

I remember : State of Decay.

Thanks, Gog. cliff
If you mean the old Talonsoft Age Of Sail games,Matrix games has the rights to that.

tfishell: We've gotten plenty of good classics. I assume the o.p. wants "AAA" titles without realizing how hard it can be for GOG to get any attention of "AAA" publishers, given the huge difference in income made between Steam and GOG (and GOG pushing them to spend time developing for Galaxy). I mean, why bother with GOG when you make 90% of your money on Steam? That's just how it is. Something to consider: how often do "AAA" publishers facebook-post or tweet about releases on GOG? ( I don't think Activision ever has.)

EDIT: Well, maybe I was too pessimistic in writing the above, but I figure we've learned it can be better than getting our hopes up.
I would like to see some AAA games without DRM on GOG, but I give a higher priority to classic games that are not available, period, and need to be worked on to function well on a modern computer.

We got Willy Beamish, Laura Bow 1&2, and Phreddy Pharkas. You DO understand how awesome that is, RIGHT?
Heh I like GOG's platform but steam has some games I fall for. I dont think I'll see dragonball xenoverse 2 or rainbow six siege on GOG anytime soon. Although I have to say theres a lot of point n clicks on here. I've realized that...

GOG=point n clicks, and oldass games that actually run
Steam=AAA games, closest to a console on your PC
Playstation=niche 90s jrpgs from PSN and jap games on PS4 disc
Nintendo=same franchises
Xbox=? Halo I guess

Never played on xbox, gave up on Nintendo around 2007, didnt get PS4, keep ps3 around for niche games, steam for AAA's, GOG for the rest

Like Fortuk said, Thimbleweed Park is evidently a very good game - it has a full 5-star rating, which is semi-rare (though 4-4.5 is probably the norm).

For people who don't like point and click adventures those releases are just boring. ;)

For those people we got Night in the Woods. Which is awesome as well. ;)

I've been following the development of an indie psychological-horror survival FPS "Remorse: the List" (from the guys behind "Grey", HL2 horror mod similar to "Cry of Fear"). I think it's looking good and I'd like to see it on GOG, but I'm guessing it won't be up to GOG's standards unfortunately.
