Hello,i am user of steam, some know me many users lately we are tired of the policies of valve. One of the things that we have more order in steam are the points on achievements.I know that many users want to points on accomplishments and that there will be users that does not want to,but the points in the achievements are a success and I think it would be great if we put in an optional way.i, and many users buy our games on this platform if there are profiles, achievements ... I have searched and i see no achievements in Gog but when put points and achievements in the achievements and profiles i buy here kis games.I have not bought the witcher 3 In steam because I want to see how it evolves gof galaxy.a greeting to all

Galaxy currently supports achievements, albeit only for two titles as far as I can tell (Witcher 2, Witcher 3).

Doesn't appear to support a point system, however.

and hopefully there wont be any achievement either
they are fucking useless

nothing more then virtual pats on the back saying go you you gamer you

some games even give you a fucking achievement for booting the fucking game
its ridicilous

...no i am not a fan of achievements does it show ?
For some reason, in gaming contexts, I always take the word "achievement" as sarcastic.
Achievements can be fun but i never try to get 100% on much of anything. I do like to get the few achievements only 1% of the people manage to get. Challenge accepted!

Whether you like it or not it's irrelevant. If adding an achievement means adding more value, and by adding more value means more potential revenue from certain gamers, then so be it.

It doesn't harm anyone in any shape or form. You can ignore achievements and can still beat the games.

I would agree but the second I need to achieve something to unlock or get in on a bonus or sale, then I go postal. :P

i am ignoring them
too bad i cant turn the damn things off

and i am giving my opinion that not allowed anymore or what ?
The gaming industry are just trying to destroy PC gaming, it's a lot easier to code for consoles [static hardware]

I have also noticed lately when viewing game requirements it says 'a controller is needed or words to that effect'

Stick your consoles up you arse.

[edit] didn't mean to swear, just peed off with the greed of publishers

I wouldn't mind that, but I actually prefer the way PSN handles this... A special achievement/reward for getting them all. and a level up system that get's harder making you feel like your playing a game within itself.

GOG has an opportunity to do something unique with the achievements here though. and right now it's just a copy and paste of what everyone else is doing...
You young folks and your achievements, back when I was young we didn't need to be told that we achieved something, we Knew that we achieved something by conquering a hard dungeon, defeating the boss or beating Kings Quest and the Return of Werdna. Nowadays, if no one points it out to you, does it even count?

What unique thing you have in mind? I hope they have nothing to do with lock content / online / or DLC

No I'm simply saying that they can take what MS/Sony/Steam has done and maybe go further and give us something that we haven't seen when it comes to achievements. Not talking about locked content or any of that. MS started it, Sony took it further and Steam kind of just did a system based on those 2. GOG could do something that goes even further, something we haven't seen.

What that could be I don't know...
