I hope the best for you man, I myself got scammed for a shit load of codes from my humble bundle for a game here and the guy took off with I think 24 or something codes... I was an idiot beyond belief but I learned not to do anymore trades.

I hope they can solve this issue with that jackass who took off with the game...

tinyE: I keep posting that but you have more respect in here so we'll see if you have better luck.
sorry, I sold my respect for two magic beans and a shoot of whiskey last year.

I didn't say you had respect, I said you had more respect (than me). :P

Not more respect. More magic beans. I'm sure the whiskey has since been consumed, so probably no reason adding it into the respect equation.

I don't have any magic beans or whiskey to trade, though I do have a bag of moldy tangerines and a bottle of shoe polish. How much respect is that worth in a fair trade? Be honest.

amok: what can they do?
Using a single Steam key for the whole bundle was a good start.

Gonen32: snip
If you post the key he stole you can have people do the thing to send a request check email every day. That can't be stopped and gets annoying after some weeks/months/years. :P

indeed, and I wish they did it more often

Gonen32: Contact the site's owners and inform them of the TOS violation "or else.." , ban whoever they can find that trade keys.
avatar
RWarehall: Give them the information they are asking for, and it will get fixed. Others have done this before. Humble is just advising you, that you should be more careful and its not really their problem, but they do seem willing to help you this time. Else they wouldn't be asking you for the transaction ID. I read that as saying, "Don't make a regular habit of needing to contact us about this".

I think I'll just drop it since I got the code from May's Humble monthly (which I unsubbed from later, and then subbed and unsubbed again for the June bunde). While not a TOS violation this isn't really the purpose of a monthly service and I don't want to draw attention, you know.

Anyway, I don't care much about getting the game (that I had no interest in to begin with) as much as I would like to game to be locked from the scammer's library.

Don't worry about subbing and unsubbing! There's nothing wrong with that. It's exactly the same price as if you kept the sub. And you certainly won't draw attention, because like, five million other people are doing it. I've done it twice myself, and will do it again.

Gonen32: So why won't HB do anything ? Entire sites are based on trading and/or gifting (mostly) HB keys. It isn't some shady stuff on the darknet, seems like HB don't even cares.

I'm seriously asking.
Actually i kind of see a future were every bundle will have a single key for each tier in order to avoid these situations, between having to put up resources to deal with "scams" and people buying in large quantities to later sell them, i'll have to agree with that situation. It's the same with everything, you can't have nice things without bad apples taking advantage of it...
Update: "I have reset/revoked that Steak key for you" (Steak. heh heh)

I checked the scammer's account and Oddworld is still there, does it mean that I just got a new key ?
