JudasIscariot: You get achievements without the code and they are kept track of in-game so you don't need the code for achievements. Also, the online profile seems to not keep track of achievements anyways as I don't see them in mine.

Grargar: Thus, the biggest question looms its head; what bonuses does registration provide that you can't get with the offline version? Is frimbri's post correct?
The only thing I see different is the character vault as the items vault is available offline once you install the latest GOG version of the game. I don't know who would consider this a bonus but there's also Facebook integration where you can login via your FB account, if you so choose, and have the game post important events that your character has achieved (defeating a certain boss, getting to a particular level etc.) on your Facebook wall. All of the Facebook stuff can be toggled completely off as I've tested this with my own FB profile :)

The online profile is also supposed to keep track of your victories but since I have not yet beat the game I haven't seen this in action.

Let me know if I missed something :)
Added Mount & Blade: Warband and Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword, courtesy of MadyNora. Thank you!

Still looking for games with serial numbers. Help confirm unconfirmed games and add any games that are not already mentioned.

What's the M&B keys for exactly? I can't tell with Warband because it hasn't asked me for one, which probably means it still recognises me already activating a different key prior (even though I deleted the registry entry and game completely).

Probably for multiplayer.

I've just checked my shelf, and a second key was added for Napoleonic Wars DLC seperately.

Thanks for the info. Added to the list.
Don't Starve: Reign of Giants also comes with a serial number, just like the base game. I think this could be added to the list for the sake of completeness. ;)
I can confirm the following don't automatically come with a serial:

- ArmA: Cold War Assault±
- SpellForce Platinum±
- SpellForce 2: Dragon Storm±
- SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars±
- Empire Earth Gold Edition (Tarnicus)
- Sacred Gold (Sachys, triock)

So if it is possible to get a serial for these games, it can only be possible by contacting support

The problem with those games is that they have been removed from sale and as a result (intended or not), you can not ask for a multiplayer key through the typical multiplayer key request form, since removed games don't have a support section. I have sent GOG support a question ticket about that matter 1 week ago and they haven't responded yet.

Multiwinia shows a serial key in my library. I believe it is used for multiplayer, but I have never tried it myself.

Added Desktop Dungeons to the list, courtesy of IAmSinistar.
Checked all of my games today and here is what I found:

Age of Wonders 3
The Witcher 2*

*serial number is in the e-mail with the following text:

"The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings CD-Key

Using the CD-Key is not required to play, but we recommend you register your copy of The Witcher 2 with it as it grants you access to direct updates, additional language packs, future free DLC and more.

Make sure to keep this email so if you ever need your CD Key again, you'll know where to find it!

XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX"

I'm not sure what this is used for.

edit: I also checked the Spellforce games and American Conquest. None of these have serial numbers on the library page. However I do not know if you need a serial to play them in multiplayer.

Huh, you are right. Just checked my e-mail and you indeed receive a serial with it. I thought it had gone obsolete. On the list it goes.

Tarnicus has mentioned the need of a key for American Conquest for the multiplayer, while IAmSinistar confirmed that you get the key from contacting support and requesting for said key. As for the SpellForce games, I honestly don't know. I sent a message to support 1 week ago to inquire about the matter (you can't directly ask for multiplayer keys for removed games, since there is no longer any support section for them), but they haven't replied yet.
