== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

shmerl: See the linked thread. Libraries can solve part of the issue.

Venom: We're talking directly to developers, and we're aware of all the issues including their technical details. What you proposed would not solve any of them.
Can you elaborate please? Because it's not clear what won't be solved. Some developers in the past already said, they managed to make Galaxy optional on Linux, by making such stubs themselves. So why can't you do it for the rest, i.e. those who don't or can't spend such time on their own?

For the reference, example of stubs for Steam API for ags: https://github.com/rofl0r/agsteamstub

I'm sure you can come up with something similar and sufficiently functional to reduce the burden for developers.

Anyway, if you are talking to developers already, and trying to help them releasing for Linux on GOG while Galaxy isn't ready, I guess that's already something, but so far there were some developers saying that they can't release on GOG because Galaxy isn't available, so there is some contradiction here.

One example: Vikings: Wolves of Midgard. If it will come out here on Linux, I'd be glad to be disproved.

Anyone else having issues with Galaxy not wanting to exit when exit is pressed? I had to force kill it because it would not close. On v1.2.13 BETA.

It is, but if you subscribe to beta you still get beta previews before they are distributed for all.

I've had that issue since v1.2.10, the Exit button would become inresponsive while having active downloads, and closing from traybar icon would leave Galaxy running in the background ignoring bandwidth limits.
Still present in 1.2.12, I didn't test 1.2.13 Beta, but it's probably related.
Is it possible to play Gwent without logging in via GOG Galaxy?

Is it possible to change the backup directory in GOG Galaxy so I can backup my DRM Free games and updates to en external drive?

I don't play Gwent, but if you are able to download the game and install it without GOG then I am sure you can open the game directly.
You may change where your game backups are stored through the settings menu option: Settings > Downloads > Other Download Folder. This is also where your goodies will be placed if you ever download them.
Hope that helps.
(Using the latest 1.2.13 BETA)
The cloud is horribly bugged. In Fallout 3, Galaxy still redownloads the deleted savegames and there's no option to wipe the cloud by myself. In Fallout New Vegas, Galaxy doesn't even want to sync and just prints an "UndefinedFailure" error in the log. There's still no option to add custom launch parameters, a few multiplayer games need the 'optional' (Tell me lies) Galaxy client to play, I cannot rebind in-game keys like taking a screenshot and after three weeks the support still ignores me Hop hop Gog guys.

SpecShadow: Did that and no error appeared.
Do you know what's the size quota? Just to know for the future...
It's different per game but I believe it's currently 1GB for The Witcher 3. Of course this size can change.
Can anyone else try downloading The Witcher Enhanced Edition game backup copy (i.e. the installer) through GOG Galaxy? I just keep getting a "failed: server problem" error.

EDIT: I ended up downloading the files through the browser instead. Clearly there is no server problem as the files are there, it's just the GOG Galaxy can't download them.

I also received the error, so it isn't just you. :D

Same here, I think it relates to file size(?). Both Witcher and W2 gives me the same error, coincidentally both of them exceeds 8 GB, the other games on my library are all under 8 GB so... ¯\(°_o)/¯

Someone with moar games with +8GB can test to confirm? :)

Tested on the standard 1.2.12 and BETA 1.2.13.

Thank you for reporting it - we can confirm the issue for TW:EE and TW2 backup installer downloads. Our team is working on it.
Update: The issue should be fixed now.
