Just wanted to say don't use the client. It deleted (and purged) every game
I own from GOG. It's not even in the recycle bin. I fired up the client today and noticed
a few of my games said "corrupted data", I then realized ALL of them said that. I went to my local
folder and the entire games folder was missing.

D:\Video Games\GOG

Dont use the client is all I can say. I've reached out to GOG through twitter.
No posts in this topic were marked as the solution yet. If you can help, add your reply
If that's true, best you can do is post your logs at http://mantis.gog.com/ to avoid similar issues in the future, because something seriously went wrong.
I'm using Galaxy since the very beginning and such a thing never happened to me..
Yup there's another thread on the subject here I didn't find before posting this:

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/gog_galaxy_has_just_deleted_my_entire_games_folder

thanks
That was an old issue which supposed to be already solved. Successfully added/imported and uninstalled plenty of games to Galaxy without any problems, even with non-GoG games.. If the problem still persist for you, there might be others facing it in the future, so please, leave a note along with your logs at mantis.

I've seen your similar post in another topic. Do I understand correctly that when using the option to import game installation folder, you have selected parent folder above the installation instead of the folder with the game?

GOG galaxy sure is a funny piece of software. Last time it updated, it managed to mess up my computer and web browser so bad that I had to reset the whole machine. Sure, it worked after that, but oh boy was it interesting...

I uploaded the logs just now to the mantis ticket I opened.

I think it started when I selected the parent folder instead of the Ultima V folder to import that game.

I picked this: D:\Video Games\Gog

Instead of this: D:\Video Games\Gog\UltimaV

Thanks again!
Had a quick look into your logs, according to them some of your games were installed directly in D:\Video Games\GoG\ folder:
2015-08-29 09:18:55:341 [galaxy_client][Information]: Loading minimanifest D:\Video Games\GoG\goggame-1207658730.info
then you started uninstallation process:
2015-08-29 09:19:03:020 [galaxy_client][Information]: Requesting service to run process: D:\Video Games\GoG\unins000.exe, with arguments: "D:\Video Games\GoG\unins000.exe" /VERYSILENT .
and that explains a lot..
Every game should be installed in separate folder. If you checked to delete all your data, uninstaller simply removed everything in its folder. No surprise here.
Did he really jam every game in a single folder?? O_o

Wait.. is that not how everybody does it?

Smannesman: Wait.. is that not how everybody does it?
I hope not to that extent

My GOG games are in...
"E:\GOG Games\[Game's folder]"
You've started importing games starting with Ultima VI and pointed to main games directory, ignoring warning message. Galaxy couldn't find Ultima VI there and started downloading the game. Then was Ultima V and so on..

2015-08-29 09:09:30:007 [galaxy_client][Error]: Could not reload product info for GameID: 1207662453
2015-08-29 09:09:30:054 [galaxy_client][Information]: ProductDetails fetched for game '1207662453'. Sending to frontend.
2015-08-29 09:09:48:250 [galaxy_client][Information]: Syncing offline game to D:\Video Games\GoG.

Destro, looks like we are going to need one more pop-up asking about target in cases like this one..
or move pop-up after scanning for a game, galaxy couldn't find teenagent in c:\windows\system32, would you like to install the game? yes, browse, cancel..

Yes I picked the parent folder when importing instead of the game folder:

I picked this: D:\Video Games\Gog

Instead of this: D:\Video Games\Gog\Ultima V

Yes, I used the client to uninstall but I did not select to delete all user data. I don't think I remember selecting that. Is it selected by default? I have nothing installed anymore at the moment so I can't look. lol

Its not that big of a deal for me when I think about it because I haven't spent too much time on many of my GOG games the last few years other than Pool of Radiance this past week. So losing my save file for that hurts. I think this would be devastating for other people though who game a lot more with GOG games than I do. I simply had most of my library loaded over the years but never had the time to play many of them.

Edit: By the way, like I mentioned I used the client to uninstall not Windows but when I go to Add / Remove programs the games still show up there but of course the entire GOG folder is deleted.
