== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

Is this supposed to add multiplayer ONLINE functionality for Divinity: Original Sin? Installed Galaxy, updated game, went to Internet tab and it says not connected to Online community. Maybe I am not understanding....

The Galaxy multiplayer service shares the name Galaxy, but is a separate feature not tied to the Galaxy client itself. Galaxy multiplayer has been available optionally to game developers to use for a while now so it's up to Larian to add support to the game as I believe they announced before that they would. They might be waiting for the official launch of the entire Galaxy platform however.
I have a bug report of sorts: Pillars of Eternity is marked as "not authorized" for me for some reason, which in turn causes the game not to import or update properly. I'm thinking this might have something to do with the fact that the GoG store page doesn't acknowledge me owning the game (despite it being in my library), which in turn might have something to do (my wild guess here) with the fact that I pre-ordered the game.

Also I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Galaxy hoping it'd fix the above error somehow and noticed that Mark of the Ninja got updated right after Galaxy got reinstalled even though I don't believe there were any updates to install.

Other than that some general observations:
- "Turn on windows startup" should *not* be on by default in my humble opinion
- On first startup user should be asked on what he wants the default game install folder, and default game/extras download folders to be (and obviously the default install folder should be checked for existing games right afterwards)
- It'd be nice to have some way to force an update check
- When first installing Galaxy my Mark of the Ninja had "Special Edition Upgrade" unchecked in Configure options for the game. I think such optional upgrades should be checked for and marked accordingly OR in case that's not possible their existance should be made more transparent to the user (perhaps show checkboxes for them on the activity page instead of configure one?)
I seem to have quite a major problem that I'm unable to fix. After successfully installing the Alpha of the client and giving it a whirl for a few minutes, I've decided to change its install location and (therefore) uninstalled it. After I've reinstalled it to a new location, the client didn't boot. Nothing happend, no errors or anything else were shown, the process seemed to have been terminated. Since then, I'm unable to launch the client at all, even after several reinstalls to old and new locations, a ton of reboots and manually running GalaxyUpdater.exe or the GalaxyClient.exe from the client folders. Even the new Beta-Installer (1.0.0.871) didn't change a thing. The error code is always the same: Application initializer not allowing to continue execution. Return code: -24 (Could not install service.). I'm not shure if this is the right place to ask, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Please post this to mantis.gog.com, thanks!
hi a question there' s a option for zoom? I m using gog galaxy on a TV 55" and is very hard to read texts. Ty and good job.
farewell
Any blue response regarding Aliens vs Predator NOT having the client in the installer?

Anyone without galaxy, try it yet to confirm whether or not it still auto installs?

I've had a few other people make mention but not actually confirm with a clean install and no galaxy.

DPI scaling not going beyond 100% is a known issue, which means I doubt they have their own rescaling support yet either.

Bundled with the AvP 2000 is not the GOG Galaxy, just a launcher app for the game so the multiplayer portion can work in-game. We'll be removing the launcher from those installers soon as you'll be able to use GOG Galaxy for that.

VERY much appreciate your fast response mate. Thank you =D

I'm glad I didn't listen to those other members. Apparently they were not informed properly or maybe trolling me =(

Perhaps a mention of this on those games forum pages regarding topic? It will help others who rather wait =)

I got in the Galaxy Beta and so far I successfully imported PoE into my library with the '+' icon (the first thing I tried was importing with the import folder option or something, but it didn't work and tried to download the complete game again :-/ )

Anyway, today after launching Galaxy I noticed there was an update for PoE. The Galaxy client started allocating files and then stated it needed to donwload 3Go of data files. I thought it was weird the update was this big, so I connected to the GOG website to check and the update is actually 96.6MB (1.0.4-1.0.5). Obviously I canceled the update by Galaxy and got the update the old way.

So what's happening there? Updating a game is the most basic feature of Galaxy...

Edit:
There's already a Mantis for this actually:

Awesome, worked for me as well. Thank you so much for the help!
The Import of already installed games is much too slow. I tried to import "The Witcher" manually with the "Import Folder" option. Galaxy is comparing the files now for over 30 minutes amnd it is still not ready! Don't know what it is doing there.

ALso it still is not possible to chose the desired language: I have installed the German version of "Ceville" used "Import Folder" and switched the language before I did this in Dowwnload/Extras to German. Galaxy then shows "queued english".

There is still the option missing to sort games manually. I did so in my GOG Library because the GOG sort by title option simply is wrong (sort by sort-title and not by title - it's not good if different parts of a franchise are sorted wrong and it is easy to prevent this). Everytime I enter Galaxy I have just the option to sort by title or purchase and after I chose one my manually chosen order in my normal GOG account is affected as well.

We need a Linux version of GOG Galaxy :) Please make it very soon.
