Bring all your games and friends in one place with GOG GALAXY 2.0. The closed beta just launched and you can still join by signing up now.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 is an application designed for all gamers, that will allow to combine multiple game libraries into one and connect with friends across all gaming platforms, PC and consoles. Announced last month, the application launches in the closed beta today.

Those who receive an invitation, will get the opportunity to check and test the apps’ core features – connecting multiple platforms, installing and launching PC games, organizing the library and seeing friends’ gaming activity.
Here’s what gamers can expect from GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta stage:

Your Games.
Import all your games from PC and consoles, build and organize them into one master collection. Install and launch any PC game you own, no matter the platform.
Keep track of all your achievements, hours played and games owned.
Customize your library by filtering, sorting, tagging, and adding your own visuals like game backgrounds or covers.

Your Friends.
See your friends’ cross-platform achievements, game time milestones and recently played games.
Compete on leaderboards and see who’s the master collector, completionist or spends the most time playing.

Your Privacy.
Your personal data will never be shared with third parties.
We’re not spying on data from your computer.
With a single click, you can remove imported games and friends data from our servers.

More
Connect more platforms and add new features with open-source integrations.
All customizations and changes to your library are saved in the cloud and synced between all your devices.
Save any view like a customized library or favorite games and friends to access them instantly.

Your GOG Client.
The best way to run and update your GOG games.
Use features like cloud saving, in-game overlay, multiplayer & matchmaking, rollbacks and more.
The client is not required to play your DRM-free GOG games.

The version of GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is still a work-in-progress application, it won’t include all of the features, and users may experience some bugs or issues. Additional features and functionalities may be added during the beta phase.
Everyone participating in the closed beta is encouraged to give their feedback in the GOG GALAXY 2.0 forums or via GOG’s social media channels.

GOG GALAXY 2.0 in the closed beta is available for Windows and Mac, and requires a GOG account. You can still sign up at www.gogalaxy.com for the closed beta access.

For those who signed up and still have not got their invite, I signed up either on the first or second day that Galaxy 2.0 was first announced, and I just got my invite yesterday. From what I understand GOG is sending out the invites regularly in batches on a first come first served basis, and it seems it took over month for me to get my invite. If you signed up in the first day or two since it was announced, you'll probably receive your invite also sometime really soon. If you signed up later than that, add on the appropriate time based on what I waited to estimate when you might get your invite as well.

If the number of signups they received day by day decreased, then they'll likely be able to shorten the time between signup and invitation, but we have no way to know that, they could have seen an increase every day for all we know.

Short version: If you haven't waited a month or more yet, then prepare to wait at least that long as that's approximately how long it took for me to receive my update even though I signed up rapidly soon as I became aware of it. They've got our emails and going through them in order so your time will come, be patient. Yes, it is gruelling waiting but it's soooo worth it. :)
I don't know when I signed up, let's hope it was at the beginning somewhere xD

I'm pretty sure I signed up right when I heard about it during E3, but still no invite. :(
I've been seeing some reviews from other game sites pop up so maybe the initial round of invites went to influencers, members of the press, and a select few GOG users?

I've been using CLZ Games (https://www.collectorz.com/game) to organize all my games across all my consoles and launchers. It's not as robust in terms of features as GOG Galaxy 2.0, but it's a great database that I can access from my phone. I'm eager to get into the beta though and see what the differences are first hand.
The Gods have finally deemed me worthy.
Can't wait to try it out!
Please famous GOG GALAXY God, send me an BETA Access Update... NOW!!!
It's a shame!!!!! I'm waiting for download from 17.7.2019. Still nothing!!! Terrible!!
Suggestions for gog galaxy

1. List mode has games to the left and information about the game in a larger pane to the right. Also allowing us to select what is in the larger pane to the right in the settings. Icon, description, hours played, launch icon. all of that.
Example1.png

2. Allow us to chose cover image , background image, icon from our desktop or the web so we can customize our game launch experience with our favorite fan art or screen capture
Example2,png

3. The info pane to the right allow us to grab meta data with descriptions, game ratings, hours to complete and so forth from GOGs web site or launcher host as well as wiki, igdb, and game store or official website. Also make this meta data grabbed as completely editable as we see fit.
Example3.png

4. Please Please Please Please please make it so that when we close the game it waits X amount of seconds and closes the games launcher such as steam or origin. Also make X an adjustable field in the settings. Maybe also allow X to be different for each game launcher. That way when we close the game it will wait X seconds to let the clound sync occur and then close the launcher.

great work guys. I am loving GOG galaxy 2.0 cant wait to see where you take it.

Is there a site or Contact you can go to if you want to check your status? Does somebody know what the plans are for the launcher and when the launcher goes from beta to final?
