Your example is not even a legitimate one. If someone is being protected they don't know it so there is no way they would be able to come back the next day and say "someone potected me last night". Again your logic is flawed and I'm starting to wonder why you keep presenting flawed reasoning to support not sharing information.

Multiple people actively claim to know they've been investigated in various fashions and you don't bat an eye. I suggest that someone might be aware of being protected, and you call BS. And somehow I'm the one not being legitimate.

Because it is BS. There has been no game where someone being protected knew they were. If you don't want to share information that's your choice, but don't try and legitimize it by giving a false example.

Even though I agree with you about sharing and communicating with each I kind of hear where Wyrm is coming from. He is a bit overzealous about it, but he does make some sense. Nothing was picked on my end. Nothing at all happened last night for me.

My initial response to bookwyrm was because he was accusing me of role fishing when that had nothing to do with my question. Then when he tried to justify not sharing information with a false example I felt a brusque response was necessary to make my point.

My whole reason for asking if anyone else had their bags searched last night was to try and determine if it was just isolated to the two of y'all. If it was it would lead me to believe scum had a role cop too, but if it was more it could have just been flavor thrown in by yogs. Of course now that Hijack is saying his brain was picked it looks as if either the bags were something else entirely or Hijack is lying to divert attention away from the bags.

Quick question though. If we are indicated the fact someone investigated us in this game, on what basis exactly do you hold the argument that yogsloth wouldn't inform us if someone protected us? I have been protected in games past and have never been informed of it, never found out until the game was over. No one in games past has come forward and said they were protected either, except for flub last game and that was a different circumstance.

Caught up I think, though haven't had a chance to go back to D1 and look at why RW might have been the NK. Someone suggested he wouldn't reveal much to town, but he actually said quite a lot in a short time.

QA's point is very interesting and strikes me as insightful, though if Flub is also telling true could be Flub was RW's target. Also curious that dedo had items stolen but it appears QA didn't lose anything (indeed, gained some material that could be useful for making gunpowder after the invention of chemistry)?

On the theft point, I had considered it possible that if the setup were 9v3v1 that the 1 was a Gollum-inspired role which would fit with pilfering. That said, other than Yog/Cristi's role, not much else has seemed LOTR-ish.

Not sure what to make of the number of claimed visits. Possible the visitation claims are correct and some of the investigators are incompetent and don't know it?

Anyway, until I get home that's about the best I can do. Should be home in ~4 hours.
