RainbowDragon: THIS
... that will enable partnered platforms to activate, directly on your GOG.COM account ...
does not sound like something that I would like to have - at least not without an option to activate/deactivate it!
What is a "partnered platform? Another games store? Fakebook? Twitter?
I do not see or read anything about the activation of keys and I do not care about such a feature because I do not buy games from steam or other companies that ask me to install their client software in addition to their games.
What if I refuse to let other platforms do anything with my account? Sounds (like the public profile issue) more like another clusterf*ck and PR disaster for gog.com in the near future. I hope that gog.com offers us an option to turn this "feature" on or off in our account settings!
BKGaming: Relax dude, GOG isn't first one to think this idea up. If it works like most other features that do something similar it won't even work unless you physically sign into your account via a third party website or link your account via a third party website. So assuming you never want to use it, simply don't by never signing in or linking via third party service and nothing will ever come of it. ... that will enable partnered platforms to activate, directly on your GOG.COM account ...

It's not something that needs an off setting...
