MegisED: The controllers are coming!

Hide your keyboards! Hide your mice!
My controller stays with my HTPC at all times. No reason to desecrate my main rig.

Crevurre: This screencap of the sale promotion shows that consoles are the only thing on gog's mind and the mind of their employees doing these promotions.

I wouldn't worry about it. If you have an HTPC, you'd understand. Be hard to have every person on your couch with a keyboard and mouse.

"Gamepads are the devil! The devil, I tell you!" .... Pfft. I'll just keep playing with KB+M and my XBone pad. =P

Ryan333: 2. ZERO console games in GOG's catalog is a Hadouken punch to the nuts of your argument.
Technically speaking, GOG does carry a selection of emulated console and arcade games.
But their little hands are desperately reaching out for a mouse and keyboard. You need to see the whole picture man...

I'm kidding

I had a joystick for my PC back in the '80's, before people were using mice to do much of anything.
Controllers are nothing new in the PC space.
I associate controllers with video games in general, not specifically consoles. Controller support for PCs is not new anymore. Heck, I remember gamepads for PC existing in the 90s, even if they weren't widely supported as they are now.

In the world of fighting games, all kinds of input devices have been used by players....arcade-style joysticks, gamepads, PC-style keyboards, hitboxes, and even piano keyboards. Why should anyone care what other people are using?

There's a lot of ignorance amongst the brainwashed ITT. You would have had to play PC games designed for PC's only to understand. It looks like there are whole generations now who can't understand what is happenning. I bet that's intended.
This is satire, right?

And presto....

what are the odds of having that type of response immediately after information?

I have no idea what ITT means but what is the harm in putting a drawing of a controller in a promotional banner?

It's subliminal social engineering. You see it on all gaming sites now, even "PC exclusive sites" have console content with ads and peripheral suggestions..

And "console-exclusive sites" do the same as well. What's your point?

Ancient-Red-Dragon: Most modern PC games are best-played with an Xbox controller, since most modern PC games are console ports which were designed to be played with a controller.

The idea that controller somehow equates to "anti-PC" and/or "non-PC" is ludicrous.

maxleod: Not to mention that most of the time, the only way to play SNES games is on PC with an emulator. Or with new consoles like the Switch or the classic snes they sold a couple years ago.
Or you just use the SNES itself. I still have my good old SNES here around.
Thanks lots! I've been busy all day trying to design a LEGO mouse clicker for use in a Roblox clicker game, and needed something real stupid to clear my brain. I love this forum!
But the OP fails to mention (and for some reason, did not include it in the picture posted) the image of the old 80's Macintosh 128k on the right-hand side of the front page banner. Which is not a console in any stretch of the imagination... But they may not be old enough to realise that it is in fact a computer and just focused on the controllers, to bolster their conspiracy...
I used joysticks with my C64 and Amiga, and they were certainly personal computers, not consoles.

Didnt they both (in fact) also qualify as... COMPUTER CONSOLES?! :O
