Not in, cool giveaway... Name for the cat: Emmeth (it reminds me of Dr. Brown xD).

Emmeth: Entused Miracle Muffin Enters The House

Yeah, I'm not good with these xD
I've spent some time with the code and I have nothing :(

But my guess for the dog's name is Barney.
Nobody gave the right answers, so here are two helpful clues:

Challenge # 1:

No letter has been changed. Sometimes, you need to group things to get a better visibility and readability.

Challenge # 2:

The name refers to the look of the dog, and his daughter had trouble to pronounce it when she was younger.

I'll give the first games tomorrow. You still have time to update your lists.
Good hints, so rather than put logical thought into this, let's start with the inane names: Is it Curly?
Ah ok, the look is a really good hint for the name of the dog. I'll go with something from the movie Despicable Me. My second guess of the day (since we're allowed two per day) will be Fluffy.

That hint for the quote will be helpful too, but I haven't figured anything out yet. Thanks for the update. :)
For the dog: Snowy? Can't see problems with pronouncing it though.

EDIT: Since you can enter twice a day, my second guess is: Snow White

for the dog name, my guess is Fluffy
First guesses

Challenge 1: I am terrible at this kind of thing, I can't even begin to hazard a guess ^_^;

Challenge 2: Creamy? I can certainly see a little one having trouble pronouncing that! ;p
No good answer yet, so here are two more clues:

Challenge # 1:

To figure out this riddle, you'll need to think outside the box. What is the primary characteristic of the Lego blocks, and how many letters do you see?

Challenge # 2:

The dog's name appears in the title of a song composed by the same guys who wrote and recorded "The Big Bang Theory" theme song.

Challenge # 2:, guess #2: Golden?
1: I'll get back to this

2: Rudolf? You can see the red nose in picture 2.
Challenge # 1:

Decipher this quote, and explain how it was encoded:

" ETLER TEHA PHR ERUNETNEWE WETHOTU LTC MNCNARI AAF ETEDE CIS NHEWEH "

Clues:

1) No letter has been changed. Sometimes, you need to group things to get a better visibility and readability.

2) To figure out this riddle, you'll need to think outside the box. What is the primary characteristic of the Lego blocks, and how many letters do you see?

3) It's written boustrophedonically, but not in the usual way.

Challenge # 2:

My brother has a big dog (a male goldendoodle). What's the name of his dog?

Clues:

1) The name refers to the look of the dog, and his daughter had trouble to pronounce it when she was younger.

2) The dog's name appears in the title of a song composed by the same guys who wrote and recorded "The Big Bang Theory" theme song.

3) The song is from their ninth studio album and won a Juno Award.

NOTE: The first winners will be announced soon... Sorry for the delay! ;-)

Edited after I saw Slaugh's edit with the third clue.

Second guess for #2 - Louis.

Austrobogulator: 2. Jerome.
Jerome? What an ugly name! :-p

I've checked, and "Jerome" is indeed one of their songs, but it's not the right one. You should find the answer on Wikipedia. The 3rd clue is very helpful! ;-)

EDIT: It's not Louis...
