Humans, Xenomorphs, Hunters - one of them is the deadliest species in the Universe!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000, a suspenseful Sci-Fi first-person shooter with three very different single-player campaigns, one for each species, and a frantic multiplayer mode, is available FREE for 48 hours on GOG.com, as a part of our GOG Galaxy beta tests!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 features the Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator Campaigns and the frenetic single-player Skirmish mode from the original title: Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition, which was released to massive acclaim in 2000. It's been updated for modern systems and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller. The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey. Deathmatch, Species Deathmatch, Predator Tag, and Cooperative modes avait for you in the multiplayer section!

How to get the game for free? Simply sign up for the next stage of GOG Galaxy beta tests and an e-mail with your activation code will be sent to you within the next few days. You'll be helping us to analyze and improve the performance of the multiplayer component of GOG Galaxy, our DRM-free online gaming platform, by playing this acclaimed dynamic first person shooter! The game will be added to your account and yours to keep forever. Don't wait - you can only sign up until Friday, October 17, at 9:59AM GMT.
We're started sending out the last (and the biggest) batch of keys - essentially everyone who signed up should be getting their key in the matter of the next few hours (we really have a A LOT of signups :).

Although the game includes full single player campaign, we'd most appreciate if you could please join or host a multiplayer match today - our reason behind this give-away was to test Galaxy multiplayer in the first place :). In case of problems or if you want to share feedback, please use our dedicated forum: http://www.gog.com/forum/aliens_versus_predator_classic_2000

PS: If you won't get your key by end of Tuesday, please do:
1. check your spam folder - if our mail isn't there, then
2. contact our Support

Thank you for the giveaway, but the client is what I'm really looking forward : ) (Still got my old AvP) I'm already excited and have high expectations of this. Worst part done as I'm bit convinced to digital distribution, only can't stand for all this territory policy and no support whatsoever on another platform. I wish all the best for all of you, will keep my fingers crossed!

Matruchus: Is this game playable and instalable without galaxy since im interested just in singleplayer aspect of it?
I'm sure it will be.Anything else would be madness.
Nice surprise to see Alien vs Predator released here, and for free and everything, I approve! :-) I don't play a lot of FPs games, and even fewer in multiplayer, but gonna make an exception for this one. Thank you for the giveaway Gog!

YaTEdiGo: Would be very nice to have it here, I have it on STEAM, but I have no clue, and I searched it... about where STEAM puts the savegames for this game... and this is a problem, why?
My best guess is that the savegames are saved in the steam cloud

YaTEdiGo: So the best and only solution for this now is using a "completed savegame" in order to choose from all and each on of the levels to play.
Have you tried searching for a complete savegame on the Internet? Sometimes you are able to find some
Honestly, I'm a lot more excited about GoG Galaxy beta than the free game. Hopefully this could finally be a real competitor for Steam, and make Steam have less of a monopoly on pc games.
Never expected this but I am certainly excited to see it appear!

The first one has over 4000 votes so I will certainly be excited to see that "completed"! :D

Well signed up, though won't be able to beta test until at least the weekend, I don't get much time through the week
Thanks GOG for awesome promo.
Never have I seen a game platform give away as many free games as GOG does.
I own numerous games on other platforms, but I am still drawn to repurchase those same games here on GOG.
Be it for the DRM free aspect, the extras or just that I feel this platform needs to be supported for all the hard work they put in. (And that I want my library to look complete!)
Thanks again GOG! You guys are brilliant!
And the community isn't half bad either :P
who else cares less about AvP and more about galaxy tegoing public even in beta state?

Yes, the point is I installed the savegames without any result, because the recommended folder to do it doesnt exist on my STEAM version :///
I want to get it, but I have zero interest in "galaxy". I assume you don't need "galaxy" to download and run the game. Still, since you are offering it strictly for the beta testing, I will not go for it. Else I would feel a bit dirty.

Because the MOD that remasters AVP, in a very nice way... have a bug that frozen or crash the game to the desktop when you finish each level, not saving your progress from that moment, and making impossible to advance in the game if you are using it. So the best and only solution for this now is using a "completed savegame" in order to choose from all and each on of the levels to play.

I guess NODRM GOG version of AVP will make this thing a lot easier.

I guess...

I don't care about either one, does that count?

I have the same feelings.

Ah ok, now I get it! I thought you wanted to transfer your own competed savegame from steam to GOG, so that you dont have to play through it again and to be able to avoid the bug in the mod.

Ok, then I am sorry, and good luck with finding a solution!
