Humans, Xenomorphs, Hunters - one of them is the deadliest species in the Universe!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000, a suspenseful Sci-Fi first-person shooter with three very different single-player campaigns, one for each species, and a frantic multiplayer mode, is available FREE for 48 hours on GOG.com, as a part of our GOG Galaxy beta tests!

Aliens vs Predator Classic 2000 features the Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator Campaigns and the frenetic single-player Skirmish mode from the original title: Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition, which was released to massive acclaim in 2000. It's been updated for modern systems and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller. The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey. Deathmatch, Species Deathmatch, Predator Tag, and Cooperative modes avait for you in the multiplayer section!

How to get the game for free? Simply sign up for the next stage of GOG Galaxy beta tests and an e-mail with your activation code will be sent to you within the next few days. You'll be helping us to analyze and improve the performance of the multiplayer component of GOG Galaxy, our DRM-free online gaming platform, by playing this acclaimed dynamic first person shooter! The game will be added to your account and yours to keep forever. Don't wait - you can only sign up until Friday, October 17, at 9:59AM GMT.
We're started sending out the last (and the biggest) batch of keys - essentially everyone who signed up should be getting their key in the matter of the next few hours (we really have a A LOT of signups :).

Although the game includes full single player campaign, we'd most appreciate if you could please join or host a multiplayer match today - our reason behind this give-away was to test Galaxy multiplayer in the first place :). In case of problems or if you want to share feedback, please use our dedicated forum: http://www.gog.com/forum/aliens_versus_predator_classic_2000

PS: If you won't get your key by end of Tuesday, please do:
1. check your spam folder - if our mail isn't there, then
2. contact our Support

ForsakenEagle: Dang it! I bought this on Steam just a couple of months ago. Well, I guess I have to buy it again. :)
avatar
mobutu: You can get it free but entering your email here: http://www.gog.com/galaxy
and then you'll receive a gift code from gog, valid until oct 17.
after that, it'll be 5.99usd flat
Apparently, the codes given are valid until Oct 17 2015. At least mine was.
Awesome that GOG managed to sign someone affiliated with movie licenses. Perhaps a good sign to their negotiating skills? Crossing my fingers that the code comes soon.

Pajama: the game does it come bundled with Galaxy or is that a separate download somewhere?
avatar
mobutu: It's only a file for download, english, windows 453MB.
I haven't downloaded it yet so i could only presume that the galaxy client is bundled somehow.
Ps. also, there aren't any bonuses or extra goodies. maybe this will change in the future, who knows.
Not that this would be a big problem for me but is it possible that German language will be added later to the game?

Matruchus: Maybe a bit more then that - but they said that they will put up an upcoming big publisher countdown clock on the frontpage.
exactly, and I also remember they were saying something about posting some clever clues about this new big mistery publisher.

ALH: Just played the AvP multiplayer via Galaxy!First impression: Everything ran fine. This is awesome!
avatar
IronArcturus: Is there a way to get the AvP game to run in a window through Galaxy?
I don't know.Haven't tried.
avatar
ashleni: Do I have to test the multiplayer to get this? Cause I really don't want to.
avatar
Matruchus: No, you don't have to. You are invited to but you can also play only singleplayer.
avatar
mobutu: We will know in about 30days, gog said that in yesterday's live transmission
avatar
Matruchus: Maybe a bit more then that - but they said that they will put up an upcoming big publisher countdown clock on the frontpage.
I thought he hinted it could be less than 30 days, he just wanted to use a bigger number to give himself some leeway.

Question, am I suppose to get a confirmation e-mail or something? I signed up this morning, and the page said key will be sent in a few days, but I want to be sure it took my e-mail with no issues. When I go back to the page, it just has the sign-up form again.

Really think this is a cool choice for a game, especially since AVP2 is one of my favorites. While it's not that particular AVP, still a cool choice.

I think if you click the signup button again, it will say the email has already been entered. I guess that means all we can do is wait.

Just clicked Sign Up again and it did. I'm just use to confirmation e-mails, even with GOG games that have been free. Thanks!
It's a shame that it is Win version only ;(
This is too cool, looking forward to seeing Galaxy roll out across some other titles (such as Vampire The Redemption!).
I've signed up. How do I get Galaxy?
