tinyE: In fairness the OP seems to want "Good" point and click. XD There are tons of P&Cs like the aforementioned TA, and Steal Sky, plus the Dracula games, Indiana Jones, and many others but those are for people like me who killed too many braincells in college. The OP wants Myst type stuff which take actual intellect to play.

sreamer17ydr: Oh believe me, the Myst series does take some intellect, so did Lighthouse and Amber sort of, and sometimes I like playing Proteus or Dear Esther just to be calm and do nothing hard LOL.
That's what I meant, sorry if I was unclear. :P My bad.
I tried playing Myst once and it was impossibly too smart for me, and mind you I do have a pretty good education, but I couldn't keep up with that one. I play stuff like TA and Indiana Jones because it's less mind bending.

truhlik: Teen agent is not enough? :)

sreamer17ydr: never played or heard of that game lol!
It's one of the free games (along with Beneath a Steel Sky, another point and click) that you got for free when you registered here. Check your account. Though its quality might be... lacking, so don't expect it to be the next Myst ^^

I love P&C, and there are quite a few very nice titles here : the Wadget Eye games - "Blackwell", "Resonance"... -, some of the Daedalic games like "Edna & Harvey" or "Chains of Satinav", Lucasart titles like "Monkey Island", "the Longest Journey" / "Dreamfall" games. Those are not really in the vein of myst, though (I'm more into more colorful and character centered titles, so I don't really know much about the puzzle centered "Myst like" games )

Yeah some times, I like just sitting and doing nothing like thinking, so I turn on Dear Esther or Proteus, or some game that is easy lol.

Amber wasn't too mind bending, once you figured out what you needed to do, too bad Hue Forest went under after Amber!

The Inner World?

These are unique ones and they're all here!
Or Quest for Infamy or The Cat Lady or Downfall or the Blackwell games or Primordia.....

JudasIscariot: Or Quest for Infamy or The Cat Lady or Downfall or the Blackwell games or Primordia.....
Or the memorable The Book of Unwritten Tales, Torin's Passage (love this one), Inherit the Earth (I made a sock puppet based on the characters once, I swear) or Ceville or Kyrandia...
That'll keep him occupied for like, four decades :P

Id like that too. Some classics are already here but there were a few more myst-clone type of games that might be worth getting. Haven't found anything that actually comes close to the myst games in terms of surreal atmosphere and puzzle quality though. 3 and 4 would be a very worthy addition, especially with the amazing soundtracks included.

Some id like to see:
Secrets of the Luxor
Frankenstein (with Tim Curry)
Evocation
Starship Titanic
Hell - A Cyberpunk Thriller
Daedalus Encounter

Yes I would buy 3 and 4 for any price, and I would buy All of them Real Myst, Riven, Myst 3, 4, and 5 all at once, once the whole series is online. Myst series did have good sound tracks,.

JudasIscariot: Downfall
Downfall, sir, gave me nightmares. I'm not lying. Like those "falling on spikes fatality" brutal ones.
It's awesome, but I'm never playing that 2am again. That's what happens when you mix horror titles with the "late for work'' mix.... :(

edit: I'm reading now that there's a remake coming soon... I'm not sure if I'm :) or :(
edit#2: removed the "thanks to you, sir", since it's not fair blaming the GOG staff for giving us horrendous nightmares :P
