Progress update on Settlers 2: Gold Edition

The game is just how I remember it: cute and slow ;-)
I have reached mission 6 of the Roman campaign but have to admit that I used the speed "cheat" for the later stages of the mission, when it was basically just a matter of overrunning the opponent. Nevertheless, mission 6 is quite hard and I have yet to find a strategy to progress.

Completely no progress after I've reached the Petrified Forest. Not because the game is to hard, but because of...

...Stardew Valley

I absolutely love this game. Spent more than 30 hours with it during the last week and it doesn't get boring at all. By now I have a farm with several fields for crops, a coop with chickens and a barn (no animals yet, because it was only build yesterday).

From all the people in the town, the local drunkard and two of the kids like me best. It doesn't seem like I will find a good fiance soon.

I also did a lot of fishing and I got pretty good at it. Didn't spent much times at the mines though and everytime I try, I get seriously hurt and have to leave before Imake any remarkable progress.

Progress update on System Shock 2

I have managed to beat the game this morning. I liked it very much because it's a pretty complex game and it reminded
me somehow of Deus Ex. Also there is so much stuff to do, for exemple you can research, upgrade wapons(there is a large variety of weapons from standard, heavy to exotic and energy weapons), modify weapons, you can be a hacker, solder or focus on Psi powers. Also no matter what character you choose, you can focus on what skils you like.

Another geme System Shock 2 reminded me of is Bioshock, wich I liked very much, but now that I played this game , Bioshock seems dumbed down.

I would give this game a 9.5/10

Curently i have beaten 4 rooms and I'm verry happy that I can finnaly use my gamepad in some games.

Did you play some of the bonus levels as well? They are incredible hard and the whole game before just feels like a tutorial when you try them.

And I think you should play Uplink next. It's something completely different and I always like to change the genre once I've beaten a game.

Congratulations on beating Escape Goat! How did you like the last level? I found it absolutely disgusting ;-)

As for your next game, I suggest Metro 2033, as my brother recommended it to me, I will recommend it to you ;-) Enjoy!

Edit: PaterAlf was faster ;-) But why not play both?

I've played some of the harder levels, they are hard but not impossible. I will try to beat a harder level from time to time.

The last level wasn't a problem for me, but the second level of the Final Path ... I think I spent 20 minutes to beat it :-)

Yes, they are not impossible to beat. After I finished the game, I tried to complete one of the bonus levels per day. But I gave up after a while (I think I beat about ten of them), because it got really, really hard.

Progress update on Grim Fandango Remastered:
I left the the Petrified Forest. Puzzles weren't very hard, but one f them didn't make much sense and for another one I had to use a walkthrough. Not because it was complicated, but because I missed an object and there was a problem with a hotspot.

Story and humour are still great and I like it very much.


Progress update on Stardew Valley:
My first year in Stardew Valley is over (it took about 35 hours) and I made a lot of progress. I own a nice farm with a large barn and a large coop and some chickens, duck, cows and goats inside. I'm very good at fishing (level 8) and I explored the mines down to level 50.

One of the girls really likes me and I think I can start dating her very soon. Besides that the local drunkard, the bum and one of the kids are my best friends. I wonder if that says something about the personality of my character?

I finished mission 6 and I am near the end of mission 7... as of last week. I almost had no time to play, as I have exams coming up and was also looking for a new appartment with my girlfriend ;-)
Maybe I will have time to progress near the end of next week.

PaterAlf, you are really selling Stardew Valley for me ;-) I think I will get it in the upcoming Summer Sale!

Interesting challenge, but I own way too many shitty games to risk participating in this :P

Progress update on Metro 2033:

I have managed to beat this one. It's a nice shooter with a great atmosphere and some jumpscares. The only thing that I didn't like very much was the way that the NPC's look at you.

I would gladly recommend this one to everyone, especially FPS fans.

I played one hour or so. I beat the tutorial and attended some missions.
