ERBlank: If you're sure that it won't be necessary to send screenshots to GOG assistance then that's good to know, I won't be too strict on that.
I report issues to the same person since more than 1 year, he rarely asked screenshots except in some cases : never for missing localization on a store page. A link to the store page of a said game with a mention of missing / or wrong localization is simply enough.
avatar
ERBlank: It's been reported here. Apparently it happens after a hour or two of gameplay. I haven't played Skyrim enough to confirm it myself, but considering how many users are bringing this up, then there must be something wrong.
I see : i'm not the only one with replied more a less what i said... it's an issue with the GOG version.... and since the support is understaffed they ask to customers to do a part of their job. But if occurs after one or two hours of gameplay : it's just ridiculous to asking a video record... if the crash occurs after a few minutes, well why not...
Obviously the RAM & VRAM getting full : probably a programming error in the latest build..
Crash dump i think would be more helpfull.
It's a bit like the issue with DMC4 above 1080p, i know there's a fix in progress, it has been sent to me (my current computer couldn't handle it) and i'm not allowed to share it >.> This fix needs to be tested to a large scale of PC : i don't understand why they didn't provided it to customers to benefit of the results (sure it needs to be provided with instructions, but hell it's like they don't want the fix to be released in the end). The other solution is the already posted one (editing the executable and the config.ini = but in some cases it doesn't work). Sometimes their logic escapes me ....

Skess01: SPELLFORCE PLATINUM - GOG
https://www.gog.com/en/game/spellforce_platinum

Can confirm that in Offline Installers, languages are the same as in GOG game page:

• English

See attached [spel_pla_off_inst.png]

---

There's no language selection in-game, but seems that languages are there (but I don't know how complete they are):

https://www.gog.com/forum/spellforce_series/sf_platinum_change_the_language_de_fr_sp_it

Open the sf10.pak (file in the pak folder) with a hex editor (like CR-Hexact), search "client" (offset 347139439) and you'll find : ClientLanguage = 1

Replace 1 by 0 for german, 2 for french, 3 for spanish or 4 for italian and the texts will be in your language.
avatar
Skess01: I tried only to launch the game with all the missing languages (German, French, Spanish and Italian).
Spanish and Italian seems not complete (at least "Phoenix Campaign" is not translated in game menu, I suppose it's a part not translated in those languages).

---

Without file editing:
- Missing French and German (compared to Steam game page languages).
- Missing Spanish and Italian both in GOG and Steam.
I handled this by writing a more elaborate entry. I'm glad when I can keep entries short, but in these cases it's better to be as clear as possible.

THE I OF THE DRAGON - GOG - UPDATE
https://www.gog.com/en/game/the_i_of_the_dragon

About the missing Russian language...

TL;DR
Russian missing language seems to be available (tested in English install) editing the registry Language value.

THE STORY
- Installing the game to check options in-game (given a @ERBlank kind request), I had to edit the REGISTRY (regedit) to launch (cause a DirectX error), to set ScreenWidth and ScreenHeight here:
[Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics]

- To make possible screenshots I also had to put Windowed to 1 always here:
[Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon\Graphics]

>>> In game options I didn't find a language selection, but...

I found "Language" in registry here:
[Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Primal\Dragon]

I put there "Russian" (without quotes) in "Language" value >>> see the attached screenshot [i_dragon_rus.jpg]

Other languages can be set here (tried also "German").

^ Another complicated situation. I'll have to write an exhaustive entry for this as well

Meanwhile. Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a particular case: Japanese is not indicated in the store page, but it's not available in the Linux version because it's still stuck at 2.1.5d and was never updated to 2.1.7b.fix.

Yes. I use offline installers for backups, not to actually play off of. I expect feature parity with Steam and cloud saves are pretty important, especially for portables like the Steam Deck.

I've encountered quite a couple, but I was only made aware of this thread today. The last one I remember was the System Shock 2 remaster from a few weeks ago. I was hyped to buy a day one release on GOG for the first time, but the lack of cloud saves sent me over to Steam.

On the bright side though, Silksong had perfect parity with Steam and I was very excited to pick it up on GOG

Alright, this I'm not sure how to handle.

There are no games currently on the list for missing cloud saving, and it could be argued that this is not an issue of the game itself, but of GOG Galaxy itself. Similarly, we treat games missing achievements separately for a similar reason.

If have time for that, you could check back the games you own and write here what among those are missing cloud saving. I don't mean to rush, take all the time you need. Meanwhile, I'm writing down System Shock 2 and Wizordum. Meanwhile, I'll ask the other people who handle the list what to do about this.

As a relative newcomer to GOG, I think having everything in the main sheet would be best. A column with "Full Achievement Parity" and "Cloud Saves" with a checkbox and/or a link to more details would be enough.

Of my small collection, the following games do not have cloud saves.

DOOM 3 BFG
DOOM 3
Mafia: Definitive Edition
Aragami
Hotline Miami
Dredge (This one is weird since both the GOG store and gogdb mark it as NOT having cloud saves, but Heroic Launcher allows me to sync saves.)

Just out of curiosity - you're using 3 (maybe more) different launchers???

Just so that silence is not taken as acceptance, I would like to point out that I object to adding anything that depends on galaxy to the spreadsheet (cloud saves, achievements, leaderboards, overlays, DRM'd in-game items, absence of 15 second loading delays, etc.), as it would quickly fill the spreadsheet up with useless information (for me and for anyone else who does not use galaxy).

Just Steam and Heroic since there's no Galaxy launcher for Linux
