blotunga: What have I missed that Fallout 4 made the list?
avatar
adaliabooks: I think it's just wishful thinking as the other games came here.
Well most of them refer to at least some sort of source indicating there are at least some plans/possibility but neither Fallout 4 nor Skyrim link to such source in the list. I don't remember SCPM mentioning them either.

Personnaly i don't find this list very relevant, games "confirmed" for release on gog in the future by devs (twitter, youtube, forum, kickstarter etc) or leaks are mixed with rumours, whishes, hints from gog more or less relevant and support/API ID found in 2016 wich are probably dead at the time being.

Maybe split the list in parts ?

Games officially confirmed : (list on the homepage)
-
-

Games *unofficially* confirmed :
-
-

Games found in the ID database : (as a remember, we never now)
-
-

Games heavily rumoured
-
-
Maybe a new thread where the first posts are kept up to date? Maybe if SCPM or someone else is feeling up to keeping it updated and accurate.

I've favorited this thread, since it's kept up to date, features a 'calendar' of releases, and the unofficially confirmed stuff is neatly sorted:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/upcoming_gog_releases_2017_thread/page1
The OP there parses stuff from here, and updates that thread, so this one is fine for posting all kinds of news and speculation while the other thread stays clean.

Let me explain: Fallout 3 wasn't discovered like Fallout New Vegas or Oblivion and was in the list without any prooflinks. You can go a few pages back and you will see that Fallout 3 is just there without any link to source. Just a wishful thinking. And we got this game with New Vegas and Oblivion. So, i made exception for Skyrim and Fallout 4 just because of that: we have all rights to assume that this games will arrive at GOG after some time passes.

For all other games there will be prooflink before adding them to the list.
No Trace

Just had an email from Square Mountain Games saying they're not tied to Steam and may release No Trace on other platforms such as GoG
War for the Overworld (a Dungeon Keeper clone) just announced they're finally releasing on GOG down the road.

Fallout 4 shouldn't be on the list. Fallout 3 release was 9 years ago. Fallout 4 only two years. Those wishful thinking-entries just add confusion among people.
Found this post on the Card City Nights 2 Steam forum:

"We're using Unity for this one too. We have written our own matchmaking backend which will serve all versions of CCN2. For Steam specifically we're also using Steam Friends to easily start a game with your friends."

Sounds like they plan on having the game available outside of Steam. Since Ludosity is publishing it themselves (like with Ittle Dew and CCN, which are both here in contrast to Ittle Dew 2, which was published by Nicalis) I'm hoping we'll see a GOG release.

Skyrim should be taken off the list too. I'm not even sure which entries are unofficially confirmed now, appears more like a wishlist.

Yeah, people need to stop adding things that haven't been unofficially confirmed.

Great to see more Croteam, wish they'd finally bring Serious Sam 2!
I really want Max Payne, especially with a sound patch fix included. I wonder when the Duke Nukem 3D game returns again.
