tfishell: Last I heard was "Can’t promise anything, but I would like to suggest you will check GOG from time to time."
It's an obvious progress from the response I got on March 2015 : "Curently not" :-D

Depends on whether their entry here is as a developer or as a publisher. If it's the latter, then great. If it's only the former, then the only game we should be expecting is Dead Island Definitive Edition.

Well then let's hope they show up as both :D
Dead Island could get a bit repetitive, but was pretty impressive on a graphical and technical level even on consoles (I had the Xbox 360 version). I wouldn't mind playing through it again this time on PC.

It was developed by Techland and published by Eon Digital Entertainment which is no more. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_Cities

It all depends on whether Techland gained the rights to the game after Eon's closure (or whether Eon's catalog was snapped up by some other company).

seppelfred: But I fear that it's one of the titlel that will not be available for germans.

ElTerprise: Well Deep Silver didn't lock them when they had the original Dead Islands in a Humble Bundle and Saints Row The Third is also available uncensored for Germans. Also: http://www.schnittberichte.com/ticker.php?ID=2481
Well, then let's cross fingers. I'd love to buy it DRM-free here on GOG.

This game takes place in a future "post-apocalyptic San Francisco" / "dystopian Los Angeles" type setting? While I don't personally have a problem with that myself, how did the developer or publisher not get sued? There's even a recreated scene right out of the movie.

SCPM: And the homepage for the game Gremlins Inc features the GOG icon, so the game may release here when it's done in 2016:

muntdefems: By chance, I've just stumbled upon this: Gremlins, Inc.. Haven't heard about it before, but seems interesting.
The game was released today on Steam, but I doubt it will be released here. Why? Because:

Can I play this game offline?

No. All of the game logic is based on the server, where we constantly update it; so even for single-player sessions, your client will ping the server for AI moves. The data traffic is not big, but we do require online connection.
